We dined early on a Thursday so there was only one table of 3 there at the same time as us. Wait staff was super friendly. Food was very good. We will go back and can't wait to try more of the unique food. Wine Margaritas were the bomb!! Very refreshing for the hot day it was!!
Went to the restaurant for dinner with my family. This is not a typical Mexican restaurant where you get slots of chips and salsa. Appetizers were tasty. They have a limited wine list and ones available are average. Margaritas seemed to be quite popular though we did it get any. Main course was tasty but quite expensive. They had live music which made the experience lively. But that meant we could not hear each other! Overall slightly better than average experience.
We celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary at this amazing place. The food and music were great. But the service our waiter Chris provided was amazing!!!
Unfortunately, the best thing about our visit was the sangria and winerita fights. The food leaves a lot to be desired. The guacamole was not made with haas avocado. You can tell it was made with the cheaper âwaterâ kind. I donât thing they know the concept of âqueso fundidoâ. The cheese is supposed to be the star- but in this case, it is an afterthought as itâs melted on top instead of at the bottom with the chorizo on the top. And you only get three small tortillas. Each was $14 - i would expect to pay that much for both the guac and queso, given the quality and quantity. Main courses werenât any better. The crispy chicken tacos are dry and more of the âtaquitoâ type - small rolled tortillas with the driest filling ever tasted. A sauce on the side would have helped. The mole enchiladas and the red enchiladas were just âokayâ. The shrimp enchilada were a huge disappointment as well. Someone needs to tell people that enchilada are not just tortillas slathered and drowning in sauce. The tortillas for the shrimp enchiladas did not seem to be dipped in hot oil, like is the custom in Mexico. Instead the rolled up tortillas with bits of shrimp were drenched in a very rich white sauce. You need a day of fasting and walking after eating these. A slice of pineapple at the bottom was an unexpected surprise. I still donât know if it was a positive or a negative. The horchata was good and the service was amiable and pleasant. Be aware that they only have a liquor license for beer and wine. No hard liquor. Unfortunately, we will not be going back.
Unique take on traditional dishes. I also appreciated the vegetarian/vegan options. Everything was very tasty, our server Chris was super friendly and helpful, and the drinks were just what we needed on a warm summer evening. The prices were on the higher end, but somewhat expected for downtown Brea.
the staff were great, friendly and attentive. We visited on a Sunday and there was live music. The artist was charismatic and had a beautiful voice. The menu had a wide range to select, it lacked a bit of seasoning however added some salt and overall loved our time. We definitely return
This was our first time eating at Corazon. The food and drinks were delicious. I highly recommend the flight of ritas. Our server Daniel was friendly and attentive. He made sure our experience was pleasant. Definitely coming back.
Found this place hidden in downtown Brea. A modern twist on Mexican cuisine. Some of the best flavor combinations I’ve experienced! Great food, friendly staff, and casual setting. I highly recommend this place!
Will definitely be back, the service and food was excellent!
First time visiting and we were greeted by a nice young man that held the door open for us. Food was delicious, especially the chicken mole enchiladas and the homemade guacamole. Lovely dining experience.
