Very nice food. Excellent wine . Waiter was very nice and attentive
The only reservation I could make was 500 nothing between 5 and 7 werenât available we arrived 10 minutes before our time and was told 20 minutes wait. There where half tables empty, there where plenty of staff because there where 6 to 9 staff at the front podium at all times During out 30 minute wait for our table. Incorrect drinks brought to us the first time, someone else fought our drinks but. Could not take our order. At 5:50 or waitresses came by to tell us she had take a break and this would be our waiter. He had other tables to introduce him self to, at 6:10 we left $10 on the table and left. With a lot of open tables we where seated next to a large party that was loud and we could not even hear our self talk.
Hostess was not welcoming and more importantly an hour before our reservation we called and asked if we could add 2 more people the person on the phone was nice and said it was no problem but when we arrived we were scolded by the hostess and quite the contrary told me not to call when you have more people which doesnât make sense. When I checked on our table she said it would take longer and emphasized it was because we had a larger party. I was happy to have two separate tables it was no problem but it still did not appease her. We had good customer service from our waiter but dishes piled up after dinner and stayed through dessert and actually never was picked up. After check was paid waiter came around and asked for the slip because his manager wanted it while we were all still eating our dessert. It had been many years since I was last here and probably will be many years for me to return.
My experience was as if I walked into the twilight zone. As I entered the greeter station 2 women were there and never greeted us since one women was talking to the other women and asked us to wait for 10 minutes and they would be with us and after 10 mins asked for our name, there was no one waiting to be seated. We stood there bewildered and thought why don't they just seat us. There was ample tables and I noticed other staff standing around chatting. We sat at our table and the server explained that he was not our server but would assist us? He then took our food order and then came back and said none of the specialty salads were available at this time and our choice was house salad or Caesar salad? Wait what, why didn't you tell us that before we made our choice, unacceptable!! Then I got up and went to the greeter station and asked if the manager could come to our table. We waited for 10 mins and the manager never arrived. I then walked over the the server who was at the computer correcting our order and told him to cancel since we are leaving the restaurant. This was around 4 pm on July 5, 2020.

Its our first time there yesterday 5/15/2022 at this location Brea..Good thing we r all done having our lunch but stayed first coz one of us need to used the bathroom..then all of sudden big cockroach pop out on the table!! Like seriously yuck!!!!...Damnnn grooss...imagine If I was still eating my food, the cockroach could have fly for sure on our plate....They should do thorough checking this place I bet theres cockroach everywhere probably inside hiding somewhere smh...??♀️?not coming back here for sure????

We decided that BJ's is not our place for pizza. House salad was just ok. I enjoyed the Hopstorm IPA. Server copped a little bit of an attitude when my wife said we were ready to order our meal when he came for our drink order. Otherwise good. Appreciate that they take reservations.
Our waiter, Michael, was very helpful and friendly.
It was a birthday get together with friends! The service was great! We had a wonderful time!
