Definitely not authentic tasting! I’ve had way better pizza for the less than this. The spaghetti and sandwiches are good but this place is pretty pricey. The online menu isn’t up to date either so i paid more than expected when i ordered for carryout. The price just seems him for food that is lacking authenticity. I would probably only return for spaghetti.
Very good pizza. Just enough to fill our belly for four people. Enjoyed having fresh baked pizza at big bear. Should try !……one of the best pizza around big bear.
Good pizza spot, but not sure I can call it the best. Prices are on the higher end and the quality is average, it was a little light on the sauce.Beware of ordering delivery, by no fault of the restaurant. This establishment uses Big Bear Takeout & Delivery, it took almost two hours to receive our pizzas.Definitely going to try other Pizza places, before I can call this the Best on the Mountain.
We tried this place after it was recommended by a local. It was a great meal after a long day snowboarding. We visited in late March, so the town was not crowded. We called in an order and it was ready in 20 minutes. They PACK on the toppings, so it was a good value for the amount of fresh food you get. We got takeout and ate it right away, but I can see how it could become soggy at the center if you wait too long--there are just so many toppings!! We got the 18" original house special pizza and a 12" cheese pizza for about $45. It fed our family of 5, plus we had leftovers for a couple people the next day.
The food was delicious- excellent gluten free crust. Additionally, it was extremely busy, and although there was a long wait for pizza the staff handled themselves so well under that pressure and still had great customer service. I know how difficult working in food service can be, especially on a holiday weekend, but this staff was great!
Nothing short of a scam. After waiting 2 hours + for my order nothing was right. Be aware that the crust on their pizza is about 25% of the pizza. I guess that wouldn't be too bad if the marinara sauce I paid for was included, but it wasn't. Neither was the ranch I paid for with the wings. Oh and I guess you forgot the garlic on my garlic fries. Which hey couldn't even dip in the BBQ sauce I paid for because guess what? That wasn't included either. The fries were soggy and soft but honestly that's a footnote with everything else. Don't expect napkins with an order consistent of all finger foods either.Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else for food. And even if it's late and the choice is between gas station pizza and Maggio's go to the gas station. At least you will get what you paid for at the gas station.
Ordered take out, the gentleman I spoke to was fabulous. I wanted to try them out because they are opening a restaurant in TX where my late grandfather lived.Anyways, both my husband's and my own pizza was very underwhelming. He had the BBQ chicken, I had the Margherita pizza. There wasn't an element either of us enjoyed.I'm happy to see others have different experiences, maybe we dined on an off day
Fast, friendly and delicious pizza. We had their specialty pizza and a a pepperoni for the kids and cheese bread. Great tasting pizza and I am definitely glad that we found this place.
The staff was amazing. So friendly and polite and busy.The food smells great but to tell the truth it was average pizza with not much taste to it.And it was a bit pricey.
