After reading all the terrible reviews I'm actually kind of glad I didn't get to eat here. LOL.So I pull up at 9:18pm and the are supposed to be open until 9:30pm but there is a cone blocking the drive thru and the doors where locked to go inside.Probably saw like 8 employees just pushing a broom, honestly it didn't even look like they were cleaning.Pretty disappointed, but hey the Taco Bell was open still and I got in and out with my food with no problems over there.Definitely never going to go back to this El Pollo Loco ever again after reading the reviews.
Sadly this place has lost its touch. We used to love coming here but last few times we've gone we have experienced either rude customer service, missing items from our order, one time we went there was sewage water coming up from the man hole in front of the drive through window. It was torcher sitting there waiting fir our food. Which we ended losing our appetite and not even eating. sometimes they say their closed when really their drive through is supposed to be open till 8 pm. The last time we went was just a little over a week ago and we all got food poisoning. That will be the last time we ever go. We usually always went at night about 1 or 2 hours before closing, and feeding a family of 6 is very expensive, we are always kind and patient and try to be easy customers. Not sure where to start. They were rude, dirty and disorganized. They screwed up on my order, no biggie it happens. But when I informed them they forgot something the employees begin to speak middle eastern and argue, then they give me a little attitude saying my order was in the bag.Geeze get your act straight
Their new Beef tacos were absolutely terrible. The beef was stringy and the tortilla it was wrapped in was burnt to a crisp. A chicken place should stick with chicken and take these things off their menu.Could just be this location, but very disappointed. Would have returned them, but we went drive through.
Twice I've had a botched meal. Today I ordered 2 piece leg and thigh. I got the back. No meat. The guy at the drive through I could no understand. The chicken was overcooked. I had to through it out. I will not go back
Guy says hold on never gets back to me big line behind me someone honks and wakes me up. So then I drive up to the window and make my order in the food was good. A wonderful nap and good food no complaints here
Terrible customer service. Corporate needs to have a word with this establishment. The manager who did not allow indoor seating nor drive-through. Was frustrated with me and my wife when we came in to order. Did not want us to get soda nor sit down. I got fed up and canceled our order and asked for a refund, and he said I was a waste of their time. I don't know how this place stays in business. They're too lazy to open the dining because they don't want to clean it. They're not even short staffs at all.
I ordered through the App. They charged me. When I showed up I waited 10mins outside, until someone came out and told me they didn’t have anything ready. I was never refunded my money back. Terrible customer service, probably the worst fast food in Big Bear Lake.
If I could give it a 0 I would but because I can’t I give it a 1. Worst experience EVER!! Do not waste your time here. Trash cans were overflowing with trash people started putting theirs on the corner tables. Tables were disgusting and service was horrible. The cashier argued with the customer in front of me over a drink. When it came time for me to order he was extremely rude and seemed to hate his job, and they had 5 people in staff whom all seemed so miserable. On top of that the food took over a hour and when we finally got it, it was burnt. Rice had no flavor and beans had charcoal in them. This place is disgusting and put to asham the company name. I don’t understand how this place has 3.9 stars?! A disgrace.???
Worst El Pollo Loco ever. The trash cans are overflowing, tables are not clean, floor of dirty, and the place is grossly understaffed. Service is so slow and they often run out id chicken. This location really damages the corporate brand. If you are in Big Bear, do not waste your time. Go someplace else.
