Yummy good Mexican Cuisine
Great service , delicious food we had the carnitas plate with refried beans and a beef taco salad with margaritas.
No trip to Big Bear would be complete without lunch at this restaurant that serves delicious Barbacoa (a super tender roast with rice and beans.) It's a delightful feast! We hoped it would be as good as we remembered - it was! Highly recommend.
Great service and tasty food. Enjoyed the salsas as well.
We came after a day of skiing. Came hungry and left satisfied and stuffed.Food: huge portion and yummy! Had Chip and salsa, chicken tortilla soup, California burrito, and carnitas plate.Service: prompt, attentive, and friendly.Good value for the entire experience.
Had a lovely brunch on the patio with family! This place is casual and has excellent salsa. I definitely need to come back and try a margarita because they looked super delicious! Decent prices, clean restaurant and bathrooms, and friendly, fast service, plus the patio is dog friendly! I will definitely be back when the weather is good again ?
Don’t order the carne asada steak. They should have named it Beef Jerky! If I wanted that, there’s a good jerky place a few steps away. Gave 2 stars for the quick and friendly service. Maybe other items on the menu are decent but I’m so turned off it’s not even worth for me to give it another chance.
We had heard good things about this restaurant so my wife and I felt inclined to try it out. She had an enchilada, chile relleno and taco combo platter and I had the Carne Asada plate. Two traditional Mexican Plates. Well, though the presentation was good, unfortunately, that was the best part. The food was bland at best. Good for tourists who have no expectation of authenticity. But having grown up with Mexican meals made from scratch, I am afraid to say, the flavor to the meat was that of being pre-cooked and then reheated. Gamey as well. The Jamaica ($4 non refillable) tasted like it was made with cinnamon? When I asked why it tasted cinnamony, I was told it was nontraditional; syrupy. Who sell nontraditional Jamaica at a Mexican Restaurant. My wife's dish was no better. She could taste that the chile was over breaded and the chile texture was leathery, again, as if reheated. In all fairness, we there there right at opening so it's not like they were backed up on orders. For a more "homey/authentic" type Mexican meal try Haciena Grill.
Food is decent, but it was the only location to offer patio seating after sundown.Ordered wet burrito, and S/O ordered Taquitos. The asada was okay. Meat was a bit chewy, but the rest of the burrito was okay. The Taquitos were a bit dry, but it was flavorful. My favorite thing about the location was the patio seating. All other restaurants did not offer patio seating after sundown due to the cold weather. This location had heated lamps, and a nice patio area to sit and eat.
Our favorite Mexican food place in Big Bear! Good food with a large variety, good drinks and great service. A little expensive but you get large portions. Most plates are shareable or enough to take half home.
