Great place, easy booking for our large party and we had a great time. The kids loved the arcade as much as bowling ?

Aside from hiking, bar hopping, shopping, kayaking, sup boarding and many other things one can do during the summer in beautiful Big Bear Lake, California. When its too hot for outdoor activities you and you family can visit the Bowling Barn! Where they offer bowling, a sports bar, grill and arcade games. There were 3 of us, for the hour including shoes it was $55.50 out the door. I guess the prices are reasonable considering this is the only bowling alley in a 20 mile radius. I personally didn’t visit the arcade but from the looks of it, very small but I’m sure its sufficient for the kiddos. The bar had pool tables and T.V’s. The bowling itself was ok, we got in 3 games but the pin setter (or the mechanism that resets the pins) is sooo slow. I think that’s why we couldn’t get in more games. I also noticed how dirty the tables and seats were. Just be mindful to not touch your face and always wash and sanitize your hands. Up your game by bringing disinfectant wipes so you can clean tables and chairs (everywhere you go). Other than that, if I’m in the area which we frequent regularly I would probably come back if we need to beat the heat.Summer 2022 specialsKids bowl free all summer longAll registered kids will receive 2 free games every day all summer.Happy hourMon-Thurs 530pm-730pm (Drinks only)Glow BowlingMon after league(approx 8:30pm) to closingTue8pm to closeWed8pm to closeThur8:30pm to closeFriday2pm-closeSat & Sun12 noon- close

Great place to bowl with the family. Made a reservation, and as it’s 4th of July weekend, definitely a good option! Staff was friendly, clear and helpful. The facility has a nice touch of nostalgia, but also updated elements to make the bowling a fun experience. Totally worth it and will definitely come back again for another visit!

Great place to visit, A lil dated but lots of fun !I would recommend and definitely will return back with the family next time I’m in town visiting Big Bear Mountain.I live about 3 hours away and hosted a birthday party at the Bowling Barn. The staff did an outstanding job helping me set up a for a group of 20 all over the phone. The staff did a great job and my son loves his birthday souvenir(a real bowling pin with a sharpie so all that who attended were able to sign the pin)Thank you Big Bear Bowling Barn.

Saturday night is definitely not the night to go with kids. I didn't know big bear has so many ratchets. And the wait is way too long to not be able to add more time if we have not finished, we git an hour and it took us almost 3 to even get to play. 4 pairs of shoes 2 pairs of socks and one hour for 80 and some change, a little steep but the kids had fun , oh the punching machine was fir sure broken there is no way a 6 year old hits harder then me, thet should really fix that it's embarrassing lol.

Good time! We liked the new “look”

Some of the video games were malfunctioning. However, the staff were friendly and the food was good. The glow in the dark bowling game was entertaining.

Our experience was great! They happened to be open on Easter which was perfect for our family. All the employees treated us great! Would recommend if visiting Big Bear!

They have to have signs telling you to be nice to the employees. Bowling is supposed to be fun yet you get the vibe of walking into a DMV.

We spent 3 hours bowling and playing air hockey and all the games. Some games take quarters and some you can play with tokens. When you buy the tokens. no change is provided. Sure enough...you can spend all $20 in tokens in no time and that is a good start for your child, but just keep in mind that some games still require only cash..quarters or even $3 to play. Today some games were broken unfortunately and wouldn't work as we kept trying to put more and more tokens since my child's friend tried to score the Playstation and he was super determined and wanted to spend all the money just there..He put in $10 in tokens and nothing... I had to stop him, because he wouldn't put all his money in this broken machine, because that was exactly what he wanted to do...There was a very kind young lady who helped to lessen the pain and returned the tokens, but friend still was a little "bitter" and disappointed...that is why I am rating our experience 4 stars...Kids had fun and I totally recommend to come here and we'll come back again ourselves, but we'll lower our expectations next time.We didn't try the food, no soda cans or bottles are offered, but the fountain drinks were quite expensive and a half cup was ice. Make sure you order a large size soda for $3.99 ...I think it was...or order the ice for your soda...separately. Shirley Temple for $3 was good.Very busy place. Make sure to make a reservation before you go as the place is busy especially on the weekends after the ski lifts are closed.
