I eat at Via Allora all the time. Last night was an off night.
Terrible service; rude waiters, missing a lot of etiquette while serving, they cross in front of your face to remove dishes, after 3 times of telling them to take them. They almost threw the bread basket in my place and 10 mins later the butter in another place. Food came late and cold. Very late actually. My husband wanted to pay the check and leave half way in, but I stoped him so we can give the place a chance to own up to its reviews. Bad wine recomendations, and the ones we asked for, weren’t available. They even charge what seemed to be complimentary bread, unbelievable. We neves give bad reviews because everyone can have a bad day, but really this was outrageous. Been all around the world, ate and dine in many places good and bad, but this one left us dissapointed and sad, because on top of it, we where starting our family vacation after Pandemic times.
I am always happy to come here for both business and pleasure. Yesterday, I told them that my favorite dish is chicken piccata and they offered to make it for me even though it was not on the menu. This is a sign of a very good restaurant. The food was delish, as usual, and the wait and busboys were attentive and friendly. I love it here.
I always enjoy eating here. My husband is from Italy and he likes this Italian food! The service and food is great. The pizza and pasta in particular. Thank you!
This is as a belated Fatherâs Day celebration. As usual the food was delicious and the service great.
I like this restaurant for an average evening, but not for a fine dining date. We were seated on the less formal side (even though we were dressed well). Unfortunately they placed us next to a table with unsupervised teenagers. The waiter was italian from Rome and really worked hard for us to be happy with our menu choices. The caesar salad was large, but average. The bolognese was excellent, and two other pastas very good. After the main course was served our waiter was very hard to find. We finally were served our desert of Cannoli that was fresh, and really good. A very nice group of young adults just graduating from high school sat next to us. We then felt rushed as the restaurant was closing in 30 mins. With the TV's inside, and all the local unsupervised high school kids it had a feel of a local bistro, not a special date night spot. Very nice, but not the special night out we were looking for.
We were seated on time for our reservation. Waiter was a good, over-the-top Italian type......but took care of us. The change in this restaurant was that the portions are smaller and the pricing went higher......so we will probably not be back. We don't mind paying high prices for quality food, but at least give a nice portion. The rib-eye steak was not the ounces advertised, but the price was quite high.....Quality very good but serving was not the 18 ounces stated in the menu (and we enjoy rib-eye on the bone often). Then I had mentioned we were celebrating a birthday.......At the end of the meal with the desserts we ordered....one lonely candle on a RASPBERRY! arrived. Are they kidding?!? Needless to say...but we will not be back.
Beautiful ambiance. Gréât service. Absolutely delicious food. The salad was spectacular. Thank you to the Drago brothers.
You can count on always getting a great meal
