was wonderful here. i just am not really familiar with french food so i didnt know what to get. not only that but the menu was a little too simple for me. nothing wow. but the service and food was good
An absolutely wonderful experience having a 10am brunch in the shady outdoor courtyard on the first floor.
They are super friendly and I feel like we were warm welcomed from the beginning to the end. Foods are outstanding as well-garnished and cooked. Welcome breads are with a full of flavor with better. I ordered a calamari as an appetizer as recommended by a server. Tomahawk was great for 2-3 people. For side menu, wild mushroom is great and others were also good. For desert, I think ice creams and soberts are better than other restaurants and ice cream shops. Highly recommended.
Open-table need to change the value symbols from $$ under $30 to $$$$+ Very expensive. Also, let patrons know that Jean Georges is in the hotel, Waldorf Astoria. Had I known that? I would NEVER have booked this reservation! It was way out of my budget and financial league. A meal for two was nearly $200!!! We had one main dish (shared) one side of corn & two appetizers. Everything is alacarte & portions is extremely small. Tasty though.
The service was impeccable and the ambience was very nice. We had the tasting menu priced at $180 which was very reasonable. But some of the dishes were marginal. The fish was a little bland and had a lot of bones, which was surprising for such a tiny piece of fish.
The service was outstanding. This was a private event, so the service could not have been more gracious and attentive. The space is lovely. It was an eight-course tasting. Each tasting was well conceived, prepared, presented, leading to a great taste and experience. What made the evening really nice was the chefs presented each dish to the group letting us learn a little about the course and their own inspiration. The evening was a success. I have a general comment that I hope management reads. I called to confirm my reservation. The woman who answered - which turned out to be the hostess when we arrived - could not have been more dismissive of me. She spoke to me over a speaker phone, which required me to continually ask her to repeat herself. When I asked if she was on a speaker phone, she picked up and continued with the condescending tone. As I walked into the Walldorf, that was the attitude that I expected from the staff. Thankfully, everyone from the valet, the host in the lobby, chefs and staff at the event were personable and warm.
It was the birthday celebration dinner. Their services & attention to the customer was impeccable. The tasting menu was excellent. I highly recommend to anyone who love the tasting menu.
Absolutely awesome! Highly recommend! The food is so delicious and the service is wonderful.
JG has really gone downhill since we visited when they first opened. Our steaks were dry and over cooked. Server didnât take our dinner order until half an hour after we were seated and was painfully slow throughout dinner. Will not be returning.
Parfait. Best experience in LA.
