Food is very bland. Not much flavor. I don't understand the hype. Falafel balls look like tater tots. It's mediocre at best

The pickled beets were tasteless, the carrots woody, the dolmas came out of a can, the tomatoes and cucumbers were rubbery, the falafel was like sawdust. The vegan "chicken" was very strange. It didn't taste bad, but it had a spongy texture and also had little to no flavor. I have no idea how this restaurant gets the reviews it does.I think if you are vegan and you are looking for something inexpensive and relatively quick to eat, this restaurant is probably a fine option. But everyone else, not so much.I do have to say that the pita bread was very good; very fresh. The hot sauce wasn't spicy, but, unlike everything else, it did have flavor.

Cleanliness was low; ingredients tasted off / old so I threw it away.

Cute little shop selling variety of Mediterranean food including falafel baklava, hummus, Greek dolmas and more. The falafel was moist, crisp, and flavorful, and the sauces that came with it were tasty.

This place is one of my favorite restaurants, I highly recommend it.

PERFEC VERY GOOD PERFECT

great restaurant, small place but wonderful food.really big portions, great value, everything is made fresh right in front of you

Delicious falafel every time. I love the plate and all the fun other foods you get with it. It's a decent price and a ton of food.

To those looking for vegan in the eastbay. Place found! Excellent.

I’m really shocked at how this restaurant has a near 5-star rating. This is very poorly made Mediterranean food if you can even call it that. I ordered a falafel + shawarma bowl. The rice was dry as was the falafel. The shawarma is not seasoned well enough so it simply tastes like seitan. Pita bread was cold, dry and stale. I asked for spicy tahini sauce and they gave me sambal chili garlic sauce that I typically use in asian cuisine. I also placed an order for baklava but they gave me kunafa (which I did not like) instead without telling me. This is definitely a food safety issue since the dessert contains peanuts. Thankfully, I don’t have a peanut allergy but please be more careful next time and at least ask the customer if they would prefer a substitution if an item is unavailable.
