Food is admittedly tasty, but the portion sizes were comically small in our delivery order. Like a few forkfulls small. I wrote in to complain about it but never heard back.I would only ever go here again in person.Update: they just replied to my complaint and said they would follow up with the team. I’ve updated my star rating, hopefully this was an anomaly.
Seriously…this is a must try. My husband took me there for dinner after he tried it a few days prior with his friends at lunch. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Being on vacation we tend to not eat super healthy, so it felt good to eat this meal. My body needed it. I tried the fried chicken, spinach salad, and mashed potatoes. Everything was top notch. He had the steak and loved it.
This place is empty on a Wednesday night but it took over 45 mins to receive an order for 2 Togo. The portions here are pathetic compared to other locations. The night manager was also dismissive and rude.Save your $45 dinner for 2
Picture this. You just finished a workout class, feeling good, and want to finish the day with a healthy meal. You go to old reliable, Tender Greens. Well my friend, this happened to me, and I would soon come realize that this was the worst decision of my life. Disaster Strikes. After ordering, I wait not 20, 30, BUT 45 MINUTES. Did you groan as load as I did?? My excitement evolved into anger. As my stomach growled and mouth quenched, the workers were rude and honestly…peeved me. As an aspiring business major at the University of California, Berkeley, I have learned that the goal of any strong assembly is efficiency and speed, yet Tender Greens’ assembly line was as slow at a turtle. Not to mention, my friend, who obviously thought she would be waiting for 5-10 minutes, drove around the block waiting for me as she was unable to find a parking spot. Unfortunately, she was FORCED to drive for 45 minutes, thus increasing her carbon footprint. I guess Tender Greens is pro climate change! I will not be returning…IF THATS NOT ALREADY OBVIOUS.
The food is always great at TG and the staff super friendly. They might be understaffed though, as the outside seating area always seems slightly unkempt and the tables un-bussed. But they are always timely (and very friendly) with briging out the food. Cheers.
Tender greens used to be great but my most recent meal experience was very disappointing. The grilled chicken was quite dry and the sautéed veggies were soggy and unremarkable. My college dining hall had better chicken. What’s more, the manager who prepared my order was notable rude. All in all, uninspiring to say the least and marks the last time I’ll go back.
One of my favorite places to go when I visit my family in Berkeley. Exquisite quality of delectables, and charming post-industrial architecture inducing an ambiant atmosphere which only the bay area can provide. I will continue to frequent this establishment as long as they exist.
I had lunch here during a business trip here this week. I thought by picking a place called Tender Greens in California, it would have options to support my plant-based diet needs. I was flabbergasted to reach the front counter to see that there was not a single entree option for vegetarians! What the heck?! The person taking my order did offer to put falafel in my bowl as a protein, but I had to ask for it. Can't believe a restaurant with this name in one of the most liberal towns in the country doesn't offer vegetarian entree options. However, I very much appreciated the fact that I was asked to show my vaccination/booster record. I wish more places would do this. ?
Came here for some nutrition before going to a concert and it was exactly what I needed. Healthy tasty and quick. Friendly staff great location easy parking clean environment delicious food what else could you want
They don’t communicate a single thing with customers. A meal that is supposed to take 5 minutes to prepared took 30 minutes to prepare, and they tricked us when in truth they just had a large order in front of us. It’s called communication. Use it.
