We had a great time on the rooftop. Beautiful view of the Hills and Berkeley. The surprise was that it was in the new Marriott Residence Inn on Center Street. I had no idea the building was finished. It is in the old Bank of America space. Tasty cocktail and lettuce wraps with ground chicken. Well-executed and flavorful. The fish tacos were tiny with a spot or two of fried fish. They are delightful if small morsels. The portions are good to snack with you drink but they are pricey compared to a meal at Comal around the corner. Great place for adults to safely have a drink and enjoy a pleasant summer evening.
Views that can't be beat. It's a Really chill and fun place to hang out in Downtown Berkeley. They're at the 12th floor of the new Residence Inn, overlooking CAL. We definitely see ourselves coming back here just to get some drinks. The food menu is not as extensive but decent. I really love their fried brussels sprouts and the chicken sandwich. Knocked off a point because they're a bit pricey, but I guess you're really paying for the views. Their cocktails range from $15 to $19, and while the Tilden Park was good, I didn't think it was $19 good. Beers were about $10/pint. When we left just before 7pm on Saturday, they were having live music and that's a plus.
They were understaffed, but the waitstaff did the best they could in handling large numbers. Hopefully this is only a COVID thing.
Had a 5pm reservation. Were part of the early group of guests. Started well. We order drinks which were great but expensive. Then apps and meals. 1.5 hours later. We had not food. People ate and left around us. Then we complained bc we needed to go. We ask if sheâd at least bring us another
Gorgeous views, great vibe, but of the 5 dishes we ordered, 4 of them were honestly bland and underwhelming. Fish tacos needed salt, the edamame salad was fine, and the bbq shrimp wasn't that good either. The Brussels sprouts were amazing though. Next time I go, I'll eat dinner somewhere else and just go for the drinks and the view.
Spectacular view of the Berkeley youâve never seen. Nice jazz band. Good appetizers and drinks. Only downside was blasting speaker before the live music, located right next to our table. Made conversation impossible!
View was awesome, food mediocre and overpriced. But it was a fun place for drinks, snacks, great view and a good addition to the Berkeley downtown.
The shrimp was raw and smelled funny and looked like it had been run over. The chicken sandwich seemed deep fried two days in a row and the bun was of grocery store level. The cauliflower rolls had no flavor. The cocktails were good as is the Brussels sprouts. I also had special requests that I called and emailed about and no one replied⦠that should have been an open.
Food and drinks were very tasty ! We LOVED the HELLTONES band on Thursday evening !
Best rooftop lounge in the Bay Area! This will be by new usual from Sunday Brunch, to game days, to work/study from, take clients, and listen to good music and eat amazing food with a view! GO BEARS!!!!
