I've been a big fan of Munch since their food truck days and am glad I can still get my fix from their brick and mortar. With their rotating menu there's always something new and seasonal to try, but honestly the staple chana masala is my absolute favorite. The food is delicious and the folks are friendly; you can't ask for much more.
Take out only. Probably the most flavorful Indian food I’ve ever tried. Knocking off a star because of small portions. I think I’d need to eat one and a half of the vegetarian samplers to feel full, even with an appetizer.
Phenomenal! The best Indian food I've had in the States. Each dish is tasty and unique, and it all crosses over between professional and homecooked in the best possible way. Highly recommended.
Really well-prepared, delicious Indian food. Amazing flavors, tasted very fresh and interesting. Probably the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Don’t be afraid if you don’t see the standards— everything we ordered was great.
This is the best Indian food I've ever had. I had the tandoori chicken with naan and basmati vegetable pulao. I didn't know what I was missing all those times I had this at random places. This was clearly multiple notches above. The naan was extremely fresh and tasty and the rice was beyond perfect. I ordered on a whim since it's the closest Indian place to me and wow so glad they're here.
Recently ordered the Chicken Biryani. It was flavorful, herbaceous and aromatic - unlike any other Biryani I've had in the Bay Area. You have to book it ahead of time, but it is definitely worth it!
Such a delight to have found this place.Really enjoyed the food!
I’m writing this review after 2 spoonfuls in. Incredibly flavorful rice and fragrant, succulent shrimp. It’s delightful. I’m glad to have found an exceptional Indian restaurant in Berkeley. ? Thank you chef Nick!
They don't have a food truck business anymore unfortunately (which is how I was introduced to them, at their 62nd/Hollis location serving the Emeryville lunch crowd pre-COVID) but their brick and mortar store on Shattuck is even more accessible (especially at dinnertime, yum!), and more importantly, just as delicious. The sabjis here in general are far more interesting than what you get at your average Indian restaurant (in my opinion, anyway). Their menus are refreshed monthly. Looking forward to October!
Food made with love. BEST Indian food in Berkeley!
