This is the best pizza I have ever had! It reminds me of Italy! Since living in Italy, I have had some dietary restrictions come up and they have been able to accommodate them (mainly gluten free and vegan cheese) with grace and a delicious taste. This is not a good pizza for âinsert restrictions hereâ itâs just damn good pizza and I thank them for that!
There is a subtle charm to Luciaâs that I know could be a bit more forward. But we love this place. Forget the environment, the pasta and pizza dough is fantastic. The menu is thoughtful, at times eccentric, but overall very honest and the flavors fantastic. These are pizzas youâd swear came from Sicily, where they favor a chewier crust than elsewhere. I believe this is a restaurant that will evolve into a major star in north Berkeley.
Excellent service except food came out a little slow and different times. Best GF pizza I have ever had. I only ordered GF to eat with my friend. But it tasted like the real thing.
The pizza was okay except for a few parts of the crust that were burned. The middle was a bit soggy. We had two different pizzas and they were both tasty as far as toppings go. Service was friendly but slow because the place was extremely busy on this Friday night. Loads of DoorDash delivery drivers picking up orders. We had to wait a long time even for our drinks order. This is a small restaurant with tables quite close together. Bathrooms pretty awful, their plumbing needs work. I wouldn't bother with this place again. I'm sure you can get a good pizza in a nicer place.
What a find! We wanted a great meal to kick off the weekend and Luciaâs was perfect. Amazing food, gluten free options that tasted really good, excellent service. Itâs like eating at your best friendâs house if your best friend was a talented chef with an authentic pizza oven and an impressive selection of wines and after-dinner cocktails.
Hands down the best pizza in the Bay Area!!!

Luciaâs is a terrific restaurant serving Southern Italian food-great menu with interesting appetizers, delicious pizza, excellent pasta. The staff is accommodating, helpful and professional. In addition there is a very good wine list and bar. Itâs always busy, so be sure to reserve and also, they do a big pizza take out business-just FYI.
The staff was gracious and the food was first rate. All in all a great place to celebrate my daughterâs birthday.
