hit the spot because it was the only thing open.I had a calzone which was much larger than expected, and that was quite good. the margarita pizza was also good.however, the inside of the restaurant was quite dirty however, and the customer service was not not friendly (not mean, they just seemed distant and apathetic)I'd only go back if I order ahead and just pick up. the overall experience was subpar. but if you just care about the food, I'd check this place out.

I ordered the shrimp linguini and a veggy slice. My kid got a salad and a pepperoni slice.Delicious!!!!!You cannot beat the prices here! It's directly across from UC Berkeley and we got to watch the NFL playoff game here.My only reason for not giving a 5 is that I was really cold inside. Had to wear my jacket.Other than that it's a pretty great spot. They have a pool table and Foosball.
Really good food and generous portions. Their Lasagna is a favorite.
This place has the best customer service, I work near this place so my co workers and I are always here, the food is great the chicken wings are my favorite. Pizza is great the guys in the kitchen know what they are doing. The owner is always making sure everything is on point. If you are in Berkeley near campus I would come here and you can not go wrong. I know I'll be here at least every friday and Saturday.
Great value. Friendly staff. Very good pizza. Pasta was swimming in water but otherwise quite good.
Pizza was nothing out of the blue but service was great! They also have a pool table which costs only $1 to play. I like the vibe more than anything. Perfect place to kick it, go on a date and shoot some pool

Bland, overpriced, and generally horrible pizza. I've been here many times for seminar department events, and every time it's just awful, even for the west coast. Just don't.
La Vals has all kinds of classic pizza joint food, and it is well executed. The restaurant is clean and has plenty of seating.
