Best tapas in East Bay!

I was disappointed that even though I made a reservation and it was our anniversary, they put us at the bar. It took the romance out of our special night. The food was really good, the desserts were great. Sitting at the bar I didn’t feel like we got a lot of attention but we made due.

We went early so it wAs not crowded until 2 hours later. The food was the best we’ve had in the tapas category. Service was excellent.

All good! Welcoming and food was good --will defineatly return and will recommend

My husband and I went on a date to La Marcha recently. We enjoyed the food and drinks. Their sangrias are the best in the Bay Area. The restaurant is quite intimate, so it can feel like you're sitting on top of the other guests at times. The night we went, we were seated at the bar, which is also intimate. Their service is not that great, especially the people that they hire as hosts. On the night we went, there was a man hosting, and he really had a bad attitude. He was super dismissive of us even though we had a reservation. When he seated us at the bar, he put us on the corner even though there was plenty of space to be seated elsewhere. My husband decided to move over one seat so we could be closer to each other and enjoy our date. This of course irritated the host (I get it), but he was so impolite from the moment we stepped in the restaurant that we didn't even bother to ask. Later we noticed a couple standing outside to waiting to get in a figured if we moved over they would be able to be seated. We told the host that if he needed to seat the couple, we were okay with moving. He snarkily replied, "okay, but you have to sit there" and pointed to the corner of the bar. We left shortly after because we lost our appetite. I'm never returning to this place, even though I love their sangrias and food. This is not the first time I have had to deal with their bad service. It sucks because I really wanted to like this place. Even the bartender knew what he did was wrong because she had an apologetic tone when we left. I wanted to speak to the manager, but my husband convinced me it wouldn't change their customer service and wasn't worth wasting our energy on.

2nd time eating here and the food delicious as the first time. We had to have the pulpo and gambas which were on point, was recommended the cangrejo croquetas which we didn’t have last time. Last time didn’t have their paella so we tried the Tres Cerditos which of course had to take home because we were stuffed eating all the other food. When the indoor dining room is packed it can get hot in the summer.

Food was delicious and service great

The tapas and paella were delicious. The liquor prices were a little steep ($18.00 for a small glass of sherry) I will stick to beer or sangria next time. All in all a very pleasant experience.

I already make a reservation but they still need we to waiting for 30mins... Also it's soooo suck about service. I know it's busy yesterday but the waiter can not see costumer wave hand ....

Great tapas options. The red sangria was perfect, not too sweet not too bitter just right.
