I guess the times have changed. and the amount they give you is unsatisfactory. not like they did years ago and overfed you
One of Berkeley's oldest continuously running Chinese establishments, displace cranks out the old school dishes the way that you remember them sweet and sour pork, cashew chicken, and other simple the lights from a time when Chinese cuisine was not quite so Gourmet, but hearty and delicious. Note, takeout is a little iffy, this is a better place to come in and sit down.
I work around the corner and order food from here on my 30 mins break. They’re pretty quick, 10-15mins tops for my order to be ready. They offer lunch specials that come with hot and sour soup (unless requested otherwise, not sure, I think their hot n sour soup is tasty so I never ask for another!) It’s a good amount of food, affordable, and tasty! Not sure why it doesn’t have better stars. Food’s good to me! They’re to go only, prob cuz of covid. Food’s great, prices are great, good chef, quick chef, happy customer.
The food here is good; however, I was disappointed in this last visit. I ordered several dishes to go, in which the majority was good. But the orange chicken was over cooked, hard and dry. They use breast meat. And we know u can't over cook breast meat. I didn't realize this til I was home. Honestly, I've never had anything cooked like this from them. I don't want to bash too much because they do have good food, but now I know that when I order take-out, I must check each dish to see if it's fresh and cooked properly before leaving the site. So I would advise others to do the same.

I gained like 50 pounds from this place. Probably put a kid or two through a semester of college lol. No, but really - very tasty! Love it!
NOT ONLY DO THEY MAKE A MEAN BLACK BEAN CHICKEN... but when my car wouldn't start outside of the restaurant, Raymond helped jump my car and get me back on the road. such a sweet dude. This is my go to spot. I'll be forever grateful!!
I meet friends in this great spot often! This is the best place to to have a good dinner. I visit this spot many times. The food is very good, the workers are polite and the rates are fair. I like being in this place to have a nice dinner.

I have no idea what folks who gave this place excellent reviews were thinking. Did they go to a different restaurant and thought it was King Dong? Were they under the influence of powerful hallucinogenics? Were their taste buds DEAD? This is by far the worst Chinese food I have ever had the displeasure to eat. This was my first time eating here (my usual place was closed), so I was excited to try a new place. Ordered all my faves (6 different dishes). The food was tasteless, looked unappealing and smelled questionable. If you hired a brand new backwoods cook from the Ozarks to cook Chinese food this would be the result. Correction - whatever they came up with would probably taste better. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.
