A fantastic meal! Highly recommended sitting at the sushi bar. As my husband reminded me, we eat with our eyes and we kept ordering based on what we saw the chefs making for other customers. Friendly and warm service from everyone. We appreciated that they are still checking vaccine cards and everyone had their masks on.

If you’re looking for omakase quality sushi without the high price tag, I recommend Kamado! My partner and I ordered 2 chef’s choice (ordered to our table instead of the sushi bar because we wanted a casual dining experience) along with an additional dish (not pictured) for under $200 after taxes. Pretty reasonable for the selection of premium fish you are receiving imo! I’ve been here a few times and their food and service has been consistent. A must try if you’re in the area.

This restaurant is amazing place to eat Sushi!! Sooo good!!!

Very good Japanese dishes. Staff is kind and careful. We had a great dinner and the kids were so happy! It's a small place, very dear to the Japanese community, so reservation is highly recommended.

We had a very good dinner for 13 family members, service was excellent, the dishes really good. Rave review. Only problem: sashimi and chiraishi fish sliced too thick. Otherwise, all very tasty. We'll be back.

Mediocre sushi, fish was tough and pretty bland. Won't be back. Much better to just go to Tokyo Fish Market and get the good stuff

My favorite sushi restaurant in Berkeley so far! They have the largest, freshest, and most interesting selection of sashimi in the area, ranging from tuna toro to ankimi (monkfish liver) to mackerel. They also have a solid selection of rolls, including the typical spider roll and the more uncommon oshizushi (box pressed sushi). I wouldn't come here if you don't want to spend the money, or if you want sashimi and rolls in large volumes. I would come here for fresh and tasty bites, and a new fish to try each time.

We have only discovered Kamadk during the pandemic and it's been our sushi spot in east bay! Some of our favorite are the chirashi, dragon roll (I use this as substitution for shrimp tempura roll, for some reason you taste the shrimp tempura most prominently in this roll ) shishamo (seasonal) and miso glazed cod. Also want to mention by paying as you get a 5% discount.

Fantastic rolls, delicate, refined taste, very fresh and generous amount of fish!
