The house of curries serves down-to-earth, working-class Indian food for the masses, samosas, Curry's, and lot more! Staff is nice and have been working there for over 30 years, great place to stop by after you have enjoyed a movie at the local theater, or taking a stroll through the neighborhood.
I've been here twice now and both times it's been excellent. It's a big serving so I always have leftovers for the next day.
Tandoori chicken aint even tandoori and is def food coloring. Chicken tikka masala tastes like coffee creamer?? All in all, food felt like plastic toy kitchen food.

Yes, of course you can get a fresh and perfectly flaky and beautifully stuffed samosa… why stop there? Order the goat tikka masala! Or goat biryani! Or any number of chicken, lam and veggie options. This location is the newest and it’s perfect! BTW I live in East Oakland, trust me, it’s worth driving into Berkeley
Great food! I love the biryani and the vindaloo. Ambiance is a little dull but overall the food is worth it.
Solid food, good vegetarian dishes and tender meats. All the classics, great outdoor space.
