Very tasty, albeit pricey, but what do you expect from a cafe at the Claremont Hotel?
The food was quite good, but the parking situation was crazy. Nine dollars for 16 minutes of parking? What on earth? If this were a private club restaurant, that’d be fine, but it’s deliberately advertised with street-facing signs for the public. The bakery did not offer parking validation.Won’t be visiting again unless I’m doing it on foot.
The cornmeal berry cake is my everything...tart, not too sweet, crunchy and moist. ❤️❤️❤️Almost forgot to mention friendly staff! Please tip well.
For a small cafe it has a delightful menu selection. The sandwiches were surprisingly tasty and fulfilling. Great views really top it off !
Unbelievably slow, while waiting the 30 mins it took to prepare my food 2 others returned their incorrect orders. At least for breakfast I recommend going elsewhere.
The Ham cheese and egg sandwich was presented as a sandwich, so I tried to eat it like a sandwich. However, the egg was cooked over easy with a very runny yolk. Once I bit into it, yolk ran down my face, into my beard and down my shirt, making quite the mess.
Ordered online as suggested because I was in a hurry. Wait time quoted 20 minutes. I show up and then they check for the order so it took about 45 minutes for a reheated sandwich and a coffee. They messed up the tea order and the breakfast sandwich is absolutely terrible. Burned bread and the rest was crispy like a crouton.
Service is extremely friendly here, I’ve never had a bad interaction with the staff. The coffee served is Equator coffee which is not too bitter but not too bland; just the way I like it. The pastries are massive and so good. I definitely would recommending allowing yourself this treat. The decor here is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and they have a wonderful window that allows you to look outside and on a clear day, you can see San Francisco. There are chairs inside but there are lawn chairs set up outside that you are welcome to sit on. The only reason why I didn’t give this place 5 stars is because a latte was $7 which to me is overpriced. And yes, I know it’s overpriced because it’s the Claremont but I think $7 for a coffee is a bit outrageous. Other than that, I would definitely come back again. In terms of parking, I was able to park in the parking lot and there was plenty of parking here.Instagram: @florazambakari
Delicious salmon sandwich. Get it toasted! Bomb coffee too. Bon appetite..... let’s eat!
Originally, I tried to go to the super famous bakery down the street, but it was incredibly crowded so I came here. I ordered the chocolate au pain croissant, and it was absolutely delicious! So filling and so tasty.
