Crixa is a Bay Area treasure. Their tiramisu cake is impeccable: light and flavorful. The same is true of their Russian-style cheesecake. Oh, and the apple pie ... one of the best.
Absolutely wonderful, top-notch, scratch-baked cakes, pastries, pies, tiramisu, and more. Their sour cherry pie, pumpkin pie, and quaresimali are just a few of our favorites. We’ve been fans of Crixa for over a decade and though their cafe is no longer open, the bakery lives on. Try virtually any of their wares and you’ll immediately understand why this bakery has so many devoted customers.
Excellent bakery to visit when I am in the bay area. I am the owner of Mobile Identity Services LLC and I visit whenever I have a mobile client for Live Scan Fingerprinting, FD-258 Ink Cards or Notary Services. I have tasted almost everything sweet that they offer. This establishment will not disappoint you. Go early as everything is freshly made and may disappear if you come later in the day.
Love their tiramisu!!! Best we’ve had in a loooong time. Order in advance online if you need it at a certain date.Service was nearly nonexistent, but who cares when it’s all takeout anyway. Better off enjoying it at the comfort of your home over a properly brewed coffee.
I'm so glad Crixa Cakes is still going strong despite the pressures of the pandemic and inflation! Amazing traditional East European bakes not offered anywhere else in the Bay Area (including by the also beloved La Farine). Everything is great, but I am personally obsessed with the Poppy Seed Walnut Cake and chose it to celebrate my 60th birthday this week. Walk in Wed-Sat 12-3 pm or order ahead.

Great bakery, very happy they are still open. I remember going here a few times before the pandemic, and stopped by fairly recently and was glad they are still around. Good solid place for European (primarily Hungarian I think) cakes and sweets. The last time I was there we picked up a type of meringue that was fantastic.
Phenomenal eastern european bakery in the east bay and easily one of my all time favorites. Haven't had one thing here that wasn't delicious. Open 12-3 for very limited days every week with very long lines these days. I recommend doing a preorder to get what you want. Service is not the best or the friendliest (and Glassdoor reviews confirm the issue) but given it's takeout that part didn't bother me much.
Really excellent Tiramisu!!!! Got some for a friend's birthday party and it went over excellently!
Our first time here and now our favourite bakery in the Bay area. The chocolate cake was so light and delicious. Can't wait for more!
