The food is delicious but this is the second tine I clearly asked for light cheese on the bean / cheese burritoTo go- got home and saw a sticker that said ADD CHEESE. The employee who took my order assured me it would be prepared just as I requested it so kinda a drag. I understand mistakes are made but it is still frustrating to pay for what high end burrito, bring it home and not to be able to eat it! And yes if there is a next time i will check food before I walk out the door.
Comal Next Door is a great option for a quick but delicious meal. I usually order/pay on their website and the food is ready within 15 minutes! Pickup is super easy and my order is always correct. Parking in the area can be a pain, so consider walking or biking; there is also a BART station close by. While the food here isn’t traditional Mexican fare, it is super tasty and imaginative (Chile relleno burrito!!). They have lots of healthy options for all eaters (omnivores, vegetarians, and vegans), and even sell bottled cocktails like margaritas. If you have more time or want to up your foodie game, consider dining at the OG restaurant, Comal. Enjoy!
As much as I am a born and raised east bay person, I will admit that SF wins the burrito competition. Or… I would have admitted it, until I tried the carnitas burrito from Comal Next Door. Now I have no culinary reason to go to the city and please note, I am not crying about it. Thank you, Comal Next Door.
I love their burritos and sometimes will get their chicken or tofu burritos for our staff/office meals. Thank you for making such amazing and solid food every single time!
One of my favorite restraunts in the area. Great food, great staff. A little pricy but it's 100% worth it.
Very good burritos with quality ingredients. Not quite as good the big Comal but much more affordable.
Amazing Food! good atmosphere! whats not to love!
This is an amazing dining experience... my favorite drink is Jack satan..and t I always get the chicken livers....
We made a reservation for the outdoor seating. It's a nice space, but the tables are small and very close together. The couple we sat next to seemed to keep looking over at us (super awkward), and there wasn't a lot of space for food on the table since we ordered a lot. The food and service were amazing though! Really good value for the price - $52 for the pork spareribs for 2 people with corn, black beans, rice, and tortillas. Drinks are expensive but worth it!
Great food, great cocktails, nice place.
