(Not so hidden) Gem right here! I seriously need to try more items from the menu because their carnitas burritos are absolutely outstanding and I’m addicted. Every postre I’ve tried has also been fantastic, enjoying the bread pudding now. They have a perfect balance of offerings, something for everyone, even solid quality espresso! I also really appreciate the ambiance/layout of the space and super kind, friendly staff. Seriously, some of the best service and fast kitchen to boot!

Magical Mole! The spice blend stands out from the mole you're used to. Hints of cinnamon and cloves are recognizable. Flautas drenched in this delicious taste mole were the subject for our lunch time delight today.Casa Latina Bakery is a Berkeley gem. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. There's plenty of space and yet there's always a buzz in the air.Make sure to hit that wall of scrumptious baked goods! You will be back for more! That hand made creem cheese in the Danish is addictive!

They have the best Mexican pastries and guacamole. The service is wonderful and I always feel welcomed. The art on the walls is terrific as well.

The tres leches is to die for. Also, the steak and barbacoa burritos are the two best burritos I've ever had. Really good ingredients and hearty portions.

What a treasure . I hope this place stays around for years to come. Get Latino pastries, a cup of Mexican hot chocolate or a cappuccino and drink in hand-painted, large replicas of Frida Khalo. Well-lit and beautiful space. Bathroom is clean and pleasant, too.

Mexican food for gringos. My fish taco was awful. Mostly fried flour and little fish, devoid of flavor. The lime and the green sauce I put on it after tasting it helped it a tiny bit bit still was mostly cabbage and fried flour. My husband had the vegetarian plate and it was just as flavorless. I was born and raised in Mexico so I know that there are plenty of tasty Mexican veggie dishes but none were here.

The food was delish ! The ceviche was really tasty and the staff was great.. GO CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELVES..

Great quality and tasty burrito, generous portions and not too salty like many other places I've tried in the area.Salsa was a bit too hot. but, not a ding to the amazing experience.

the food is great... authentic sauces and super variety on breakfast lunch and dinner. the owner has other restaurants with different names around town but he does three things consistently. the artwork is always incredible, he has a frieda khalo theme with amazing replicas of her work on the walls. his restrooms are fabulous. and the food is ¡mâs rico!!!

I’ve been driving by this place for several years and this is the first time I visited. I’m kicking myself for not coming in sooner. I had the breakfast burrito and a cup of coffee. Both were excellent. The burrito had creamy eggs and a lot of crema. It was very moist, which prefer, and the flour tortillas was soft and tender. My only criticism is that the salt wasn’t there to my liking. But hey, to each his own. I just added salt at the table.I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back.
