Good food in a lovely setting.
Ambience & food is great. Will return when I’m in the area again.
The outdoor space is nice but that's it. My husband and I went this morning. I got a latte with oat milk that tasted burnt and overly sweet. It was undrinkable and so I had to ask for a coffee instead. No refund was given, nor was I given the difference in price. Instead, I was accused of putting sugar in the drink myself! I have never had such incredibly rude service. To make matters worse, my husband's cappuccino was also disgusting and burnt. Not only did they manage to mess up the coffees, the huevos rancheros was basically a soup. I hate writing bad reviews but I decided to do so because there are very misleading positive reviews on here. My recommendation is that you should only come if you are looking for a pretty place to sit and nothing more.
The food was awesome.. very flavorful and large portions. Service was prompt and great. They have specialty teas, nice salads , informal seating.
Loved the food and loved the patio. First time having a date and feta cheese omelet. It was wonderful. We'll be back. By the way, they have a parking lot!
Enjoyed superb buttermilk pancakes , scrambled eggs and grilled tomatoes.
I really liked their workers and the food was great! I ordered the San Pablo blue smoothie along with a bagel with cucumbers tomatoes and onions and was very satisfied with the way they made the food and drinks. Job well done!
The inflammation buster is the only $7 drink I'll pay for. Absolutely delicious and unique. I've been trying to backwards engineer it for years. ThThey don't like you to hang around too long unless you pay for your table but the food is good. My favorite spot to work.
Great place for brunch. Great menu and coffee, tea, chai, herbal drinks. Good pastries, vegan/ vegetarian options. Plenty of indoor seating, but people go for cool and a bit funky outdoor courtyard seating.
We went for Sunday brunch, and the place was pretty busy, but they were handling the line well, and outdoor seating was mostly full with seats still available. This restaurant was simple but charming, with its plant-filled, open air seating in back as the star attraction. There were 5 of us, and our picnic table with umbrella was clean and pleasant. The food came within an average amount of time, and still warm.Leila's was charming but expensive for what it was, considering that customers order at a counter and seat themselves, including self serving water and bringing drinks and condiments to the table, and there isn't any table service (although employees are nice if you flag them down). They deliver the food and tableware and bus the table after you leave, but that's it. But I continued to enjoy Leila's over the years as prices increased. This was the first time I didn't like the taste of my order enough to raise the issue. My tuna melt tasted like sour mackerel to me. (There was no discussion with me over WHY my meal didn't taste right; was the tuna actually old? Who knows?) I was apologetically told to purchase additional food if I wanted something else-- Leila's wouldn't exchange my meal for another. My group of 5 spent over $100 on entrees and drinks for BRUNCH. My tuna sandwich and mixed greens cost $15.50 alone. For A TUNA SALAD SANDWICH, possibly one of the cheapest protein foods to make. That was the moment all the times I wished I had water, condiments, or coffee refills/re-warms delivered to me while eating there came back to mind. I had attempted to resolve my issue, but was left with a sense that Leila's doesn't feel any obligation for my positive experience, even at more than $20 a head.My mother-in-law split her Reuben sandwich with me that morning, and the remainder of the meal was fine. But I won't return to Leila's again.
