This cafe is well placed in West Berkeley, away from the frenetic pace of University, with plenty of outdoor seating and indoor seating to match. The floor to ceiling glass walls create a nice ambience and the bar-style service and pickup ordering process are quick and efficient. Only issue is sometimes the quality of the drink is lacking compared to other cafes in the area.
I love Blue Bottle. Their coffee. This review is based on a short interaction I had with a barista. Unnecessarily rude. Check your attitude before serving somebody coffee.

Stale, day old pastries were a shock. $6 for a dried-out chocolate croissant. Coffee is great, pastries are not.
I stopped by this place on the morning on March 18 and March 19 and both times they had temporary signs posted in the window that they were opening later. It's frustrating planning to get coffee here only to not be open without advanced notice.
Terrible customer service. My boyfriend went to the store today. When he got in, the iron door handle broke and hit his head badly. The staff did not say anything, no apology, and didn’t leave him any contact information. Very upset experience.

The change their operations time from 10:00am - 3:00pm. But it didn’t change on the google map. Me and my friend went there just want to get a cup. The person who work at the shop give me a bad attitude.
