my favorite place in berkeley. not a US resident, came here from singapore to study here in berkeley. the pizza rly makes me feel good. probably the best invention that humans ever had
They keep disabling online ordering in their app so you’re forced to stand in the long line. Let people order in the app for pickup!
I ordered a build your own pizza and when my roommate brought it back to me it had no toppings on it and was burnt. I tried to request a refund online but never received a response and I couldn’t go in person because I had COVID. I would not recommend that anyone goes here.
The homie and I were hungy. We see Blaze Pizza. We think, okay, it’s 3:00 pm, shouldn’t take too long to get some food here. Every employee in the store seemed undeniably high. Insidious vibes everywhere. I stood at the counter wondering if I was doing something wrong to make them not take my order. They were making eye contact with me, so I knew they saw me. Eventually, someone bit the bullet and took my order. They then managed to not put cheese on the pizza?? Realized I had to remind them after they put olives onto the bare red sauced crust. It was a two topping pizza. We then waited for the “fast-fire’d” pizza, thinking the worst was over, only to wait half an hour for one 11-incher to share. While eating the pizza, we witnessed an employee touch his phone with his gloved hand and then fondle some toppings, hand still gloved. Finally, when I was passing the counter to use the restroom, I was almost smacked by a hot pizza being slung out of the oven in the direction of the hallway. The pizza was good, but the service was so poor I assumed the workers were under duress.
Good pizza for the price, but the lines get a bit unreasonable
I love Blaze, I’ve been going there since I used to live in SoCal and this place reminded me of home. We went there on a weekday afternoon. The pizza turned out really well, and the employees were nice. Yeah, the requiring vaccine cards to order is weird, but I had mine on me so it was no big deal.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I went in with my kids who were very excited to get pizza. As soon as we walked in, we were asked for a copy of our vaccination card. I explained we were ordering to go and did not plan on eating in the restaurant. Me and my kids were masked with N94's. The girl we spoke to said even for to go we had to show our vaccination card. I asked her if we could order online instead she said there online system was down and we couldn't order online. I asked her again that there was no way for us to order food to go, she said no. I asked her why she would need to see my card for to go orders. She said because I am close to the food. She was rude and this is ridiculous. Berkeley has a vaccination mandate for in door dining. But not for to go orders. I have gone to many establishments in Berkeley, where I can order food to go. We will not be coming here again. And I'll make sure I tell everyone else I know about this ridiculous policy.
It is great to be able to choose everything you want on your pizza and then get it quickly. I love thin crust pizzas so their pizzas are perfect for me.
Ordered ahead online.. arrived 30 min after pickup time. Was told order was “lost” and had to wait another 15 for the order.
Came here and ordered online. This was closer to my city. I didn’t think anything would be wrong since the order time was like 15 minutes to make. I came to the place and everything was closed down. Like completely empty. It was only 3pm on Sunday. There was no notice on the door. It is kind of dumb that they let you order online when place is closed.
