Delicious food. Great for a casual dinner. So many options of sushi and also vegan/vegetarian options too like sushi and ramen. Not just your boring avocado and cucumber rolls. They had other more exciting choices. I loved the grilled steak combo meal and the spinach gomae was delicious. Iâm so glad I found this place on Opentable. I highly recommend it.
Anniversary
Delicious! My family of 6 and myself enjoyed our experience at Akemi very much. The staff was attentive, warm and welcoming. We ordered 4 soups (lobster ramen and spicy miso) YUM. They were big enough to share between two people. We also ordered 5 sushi rolls, a combination plate, and two edamame orders. Perfect amount for all of us. Their tea is also so good! We will be returning again soon.
Nice neighborhood sushi restaurant. Nice sake flights or by the glass. Nice presentations. Sushi was fresh. Nice selection of salads, sashimi, sushi and dinner entrees. We sat outside and it was pleasant-they have a few heaters if needed.
The tempura was very good. Disappointed in the ramen: soup was tasteless and not a good broth, noodles should have better texture too soft and expensive for the ingredients to make. Sorry.
Ate for lunch, outdoor seating, beautiful weather. Food was outstanding, especially lobster ramen and sushi rolls. Nearby table had tempura vegetables that looked fantastic but I didnât ask them to let me sample their meal, of course (still need to be cautious re: COVID). :-) Service a bit slow due to maitre-dâ being also the sole server and handling checks. Would be cautious if you are in a rush for lunchâ¦
Went for mid week lunch date arrived an hour after opening so they werenât busy yet. Had no problem finding street parking. Meal and service were great. Only downside was they were out of chicken and I had to change my order. Just thought it strange that a restaurant would be out of chicken. Otherwise I would have given them all 5 stars. Will definitely recommend and return when weâre on the area.
Food was only fair. It was an expensive meal for so so sushi.
Went here with husband on my birthday for a quiet lunch. Beautiful food. Food was light yet filling. We had the tonkatsu, the bowl of ramen, and the lion king roll to share. Definitely will be coming back again and again here.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Akemi. We found it last minute after a hike and were very pleased. We will go back and recommend.
