Terrible. To be honest don’t waste your time, eat at Taco Bell it’s better than this. Meat wasn’t savory neither the chicken nor the steak. It was sweet as if they used BBQ rub to season it. Definitely not authentic tasting. So bad i would give it a 1 but my wife said her taco salad wasn’t BAD but it wasn’t good. What a waste of money. They also told me there was going to be guac and sour cream included but there was none. I could go on and on about my experience but ill leave it where it stands. Very bad.
One of several Mexican restaurants in Benicia. Service was good. Chips and salsa kept topped up while waiting for order. Was very crowded around 1100 on a weekday. Always nice not fighting a crowd. Had the tri tip burrito bowl, was not my favorite. At work we have had the fajitas and they are good.
Extremely unprofessional. Google the time the closed which says 9 pm and even the sign on the door says 9pm but the last 2 nights in a row they were already cleaned up with chairs on the tables and when I came in there at around 830. Ask they if they were still open at 830 and they said no we actually decided to close early tonight. It’s weird how 2 nights in a row they already have the restaurant fully cleaned up by 830 like they don’t want to work till 9pm. Don’t even get me started on seeing if they will answer the phone for a take out order after 7pm. 2 nights of calling from 7 to 730 and not one time did someone answer the phone.
Altogether great mexican. I especially love their burritos and nachos! My only ask would be to add margaritas to the menu! ?
Good quality Mexican food. We've been going to Sandoval's since 1990 and the quality has remained consistent throughout.

I used to love this place. However, the last few times I have been here, the food has been average at best. In particular, the last time I was here, I ordered a Chili Verde burrito. It was full of rice and beans but had about 3-4 pieces of pork and one was all fat. I think I will start looking for another place for Mexican food.
I love this place, but... use cash when going there. I had a card that I only used at Sandovals (over 6 months) that got cloned and the thief attempted to use it. Because my bank knew I very rarely used the card they co tasted me about the wierd attempted purchases. Also I ordered last night and the waitress was so rude. Got my order wrong not once but twice and refused to tell me my total over the phone. Tried to call to speak to the manager and was told their was none. She didnt even apologize for the mess up. It was just so off. So beware. If you call when they open or any time, you're lucky if they answer the phone. Sad because they have great food when it's made correctly.
