Stopped in this evening on our way to our KOA campground site for the night on 6/18/22. Wow! What service, great food and drinks. Karissa( a Nursing student/waitress/ hostess) was phenomenal and so was Jose. Drinks never empty, fresh chips and salsa arrived at the table within seconds of setting down. And everything else was absolutely amazing. The staff worked so fluidly together and seems they have been doing it for years. After Covid, so glad this place still exists. The most authentic Mexican food I have had in a long time. Must stop by and see this group of employees (sorry I didn’t get all their names.). They were GREAT! Thanks so much for a wonderful experience!!!!
Waited 17 minutes until i was acknowledged. The table next to me had 3 different servers wait on them as i just waited. 2 other couples were seated as i was waiting. They also had a server help them before me. Once the server finally acknowledged me, she was very rushed and even stopped to talk to a couple while holding my plate of food. Horrible service indeed. Definitely did not live up to my prior numerous visits.I specifically stayed at the hotel for this restaurant. I will no longer be staying at the hotel or eating at the restaurant.Major disappointment.
After a 8 hour drive and stay at the hotel, we decided to have dinner here at Los Domingos. A decor was nicely done. Once we were seated, our waitperson was there asking what drinks we wanted., the after a couple minutes we had our drinks and had decided what we wanted. I had "Ron's Special" and my spouse had Arroz con Pollo. Both dishes were very good and LARGE portions. Waitstaff was great too. We also had breakfast and it was very good as well.
This restaurant is attached to the quality inn in Barstow California. Although the rooms were very barely tolerable because of the heavy perfume that they use, the restaurant was a little gem. My wife raved about the salsa and chips and also the salad too and I thought mine was very good also. And the price was reasonable. The only problem is that the restaurant is in Barstow and we live in Tennessee.
Had a good time sitting at the bar talking to the patrons and bartender. The food was good and the staff was friendly. Easy to find, and I'd be more than happy to have this place in my hotel.
I'd love to leave and go home, and never return. Unfortunately my waiter has the memory of a gnat, and we are still waiting for the forgotten order for my step daughter. If we die on this booth, please someone sue on our behalf. We might starve to death here waiting. Please if you're reading this, drive by with flautas, she's seriously starving to death.
Traveling through and wanted some good Mexican and this had #2 spot on the reviews. I don't like to give bad reviews so like my mom used to say, "if you can't say something nice ..."
