I can't get enough of this place! The food is amazing! The portions are huge but for what you pay it's a steal! And the service is always excellent!
Excellent menu and Diner atmosphere. The Bigfoot is by far the largest chicken fried steak breakfast on the planet! Bring your appetite because you'll need it to take down this Beast. Every BB I've visited is clean, fun, friendly and great tasting!
We are dinner here and got the “lighter size” of the steak tips. My goodness. They gave us so much food and it was all delicious. Great service too. I’d highly recommend them to anyone. We were too full for dessert but they were huge also and looked delicious.
Everything was good except the fried chicken it was back of the chicken and everything was all bone no meat was like eating the carcass
Nice place to eat little on the pricey side these days but really enjoyed the food the employees are really nice and a very clean establishment . pretty close to motel 6 and a lot of truck stops.
When we are passing through we try to stop at different local restaurants. The Black Bear Diner is certainly above the quality of Denney’s, clean areas, friendly service and good food. My wife and I just wanted something to tide us over so we shared a Turkey Club (triple-stacked with turkey breast, thick cut smoked bacon, smoked ham, tomato, lettuce & mayonnaise) along with sweet potato fried which was very filling. On a trip through Barstow skip all the fast-food spots and enjoy the Black Bear Diner. Yes, the restrooms are very clean.
Stopped on the way from San Diego to Las Vegas. Food was good and everyone in our four person party enjoyed our meal. We ordered breakfast and dinner menu items. The cinnamon French toast was really delicious and flavorful. The restaurant was cold where we were seated in a booth, but the waitress noticed how chilly it was and had the temperature adjusted without even asking her to change it. Our wait time to be seated was reasonable and we got a to-go coconut cream pie for later. it looked so yummy. We couldn’t pass it up.
Only problem was our waitress perfume was very over powering and lingered for awhile. Made me sneeze and eyes watered made for a hard time to eat my meal.
From the moment I entered the restaurant, service was exceptional. The restaurant was clean, the waitress was amazing and the food was outstanding.
Black Bear Diner is a chain restaurant. They have a good reputation for large portions of comfort food. This location is no different from other Black Bear Diner that we have been to. Yummy breakfast and lunch choices. The location in Barstow is ideal for travelers going to and from Las Vegas and the LA area. Would stop here again on our way to Vegas.
