This place is good. We went on a Saturday and there was someone making birria tacos next door at the dairy. Now those birria tacos were great. I'll go back to the dairy for those tacos for sure.
Super delicious all I can and reasonably priced
Food was real good. I would come back again
The food was really good and were fresh also the Boba was very refreshing too. The rice was good and the macaroni salad overall I give this place a nine out of 10!
I drove by and saw Hawaiian BBQ, the place looked old and rundown from the street, but to my surprise, the food was really good and plentiful. I ordered a number one, Chicken katsu, BBQ chicken BBQ beef 2 scoops rice and Mac salad with a Coke, it came out to $13. Good meal, freshly made, affordable price.
Greety with the sause
Awesome food especially loco moco
Love the chicken combo and tea it's so worth it . Come here every time I work in this area
This review isn't judging this place for it's aesthetics or as a sit down place, since it's basically take out only BC of the virus. My friend and I got a few items to take out and take back home... It's very much in the style of hawaiian BBQ joints, but I must say that the BBQ Chicken is much more well-made and tender above the other ones like L&L and Ono, which I am a fan of also... That's what really stood out to me. Spam musubis are great, and I found that the menu is much bigger than other spots, so I'll be sampling other things. They also have a huge selection of smoothies.
I have been coming here for quite some time now and have enjoyed my experience here so far. As other mentioned before, the wait time can take a bit long if you're ordering in person, so I've been making it a habit to call in my orders, especially at Hawaiian BBQ places.Let's start with the location and outer shell of the establishment (which is technically the whole thing because it is primariily a to-go restaurant, with a few outdoor seating selections). 626 Hawaiian BBQ is really easy to see from every vantage point. It sits in the front of a parking lot right next to a convenience store. There isn't to much to mention in terms of the store itself except for the fact that it seems like a Weinerschnitzel without the bright colors. This of course doesn't bother me at all because what matters is the heart and soul of the restaurant.I always seem to order to same thing here but I am a creature of habit. I get the Chicken Combo (BBQ Chicken and Chicken Katsu) with a large 626 Milk Tea. The Chicken Combo is delicious but the reason why I did knock it down a star is the balance of proportions. There is literally barely any veges and mac, and ALOT of meat. This is normally a good thing for most customers but I need a balance in terms of proportions as the abundance of the protein can be heavy and overwhelming. The 626 Milk Tea is just a regular black milk tea. What pops out about the 626 Milk Tea and all of their drinks in general is the insanely cheap prices of these drinks they are around $2-$3 for each drink which is actually quite rare in the SGV. Not only is it cheap but it is also decent. The place definitely has a place in my heart and I will be continuing to come here because of the great customer service, delicious and affordable food and drinks.#shoplocal #shopsmallbusiness
