I made a reservation for a table for two a week in advance for a Thursday night in May to celebrate our anniversary. Our reservation was for the first seating right after open at 5pm, so when we walked in we weren't surprised to see it mostly empty. We were seated quickly and immediately served up bread after asking for water and a bottle of wine. (Which came chilled in a nice ice bucket)Our AMAZING server took such great care of us, going absolutely above and beyond once she found out we were celebrating our anniversary. She was attentive, refilled glasses quickly and brought over plenty of complimentary treats to make sure we were happy throughout the evening. We had the crab cakes appetizer which was phenomenal, the nantua sauce they served it with was so delicious and our server even brought us a new bread basket, knowing that we'd want to soak up that glorious sauce. They were running a few off-menu specials for dinner and dessert, I got the filet mignon special and my wife got the Dover sole. The filet was cooked to a perfect medium rare and served with a beautiful mushroom gravy sauce on the side. I had a bite of the sole as well, which was also equally as great, the sliced grapes offering a perfect burst of refreshing sweetness to complement the lemon butter sauce. Dessert was great as well, we shared spumoni ice cream and a slice of chocolate mousse cake and overall had a great meal and a great night! We'll definitely be back soon for another guaranteed delicious meal and more phenomenal service!

Chicken Marsala was very salty. The special of the day was not very tasty. The ingredients included Vodka, which made the pasta taste terrible. Very disappointed with their lack of steaks on the menu. Service was slow. It had been awhile since we had dined here, I don't think we'll be back.

::UPDATE:: Still my favorite restaurant in Bakersfield!I love Uricchio's and have for years. The restaurant is small, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in every other aspect. The food is amazing, probably the best Italian food in Bakersfield. They are family-friendly, and even pet-friendly on the patio. Although the restaurant can get pretty packed and a little noisy during peak hours, don't let that dissuade you from making your reservations. They are well worth a visit.

My favorite restaurant in town! Always fresh, always delicious, whether it's take out or dine in. They'll gladly tweek an order to personalize what you want (within reason I'm sure). The service is exceptional. I'd love to post some pics, but I ate it...lol

Food was really good. There were 10 of us for dinner and no one had a bad meal. Definitely recommend!

Waitress was very kind and of great service..?

Atmosphere was much better than the food. Lasagna had overbearing cheap tasting meat that left a bad aftertaste. Was the first one my friend tried lasagna so I was pretty disappointed about that. Seafood dishes were good though. Not worth the visit because they don't make their own pasta or mozarella and Italian is mostly about the pasta. Both pasta and mozzarella are really easy to make too... Really easy to make at home. Missed opportunity. Clam chouder was decent/good though! In general, nice experience but I'm not coming back, food lackluster

Always enjoyed the food but was pretty disappointed last night in the atmosphere. Not sure when they decided to eliminate tablecloths on tables for dinner but it really cheapens the experience. No bread offered, no specials recommended. The food was still good but not overly impressed. I likely won’t be back for awhile.

This was the worst so called Italian food I have ever had! Crab cakes tasted like bad salmon patties, bruschetta was more like chunky ragu on French bread pizza with a bit of cheese. manicotti were cold in the middle and the meat sauce was greasy all of it was flavorless. The smell of garlic in the air was fabulous BUT when my food came seems like the garlic had been used as a room freshener instead of being used in my food. Host ignored me whenni asked to speak to manager. Just know it was my surprise birthlday lunch and it was ruined big time I can say the ice tea and bread and butter were pretty decent though, we will definitely be recommending that people NOT eat here go to Dennys and eat their spaghetti its a better sauce!

My absolute favorite Italian restaurant in town. The lemon piccatta chicken is delicate and flavorful. They are way short staffed and have cut back their hours. Somehow, though, that didn't affect the quality of the food or service.
