We planned a short girls weekend near home and chose Padre Hotel as our choice of stay and couldn’t have been more pleased. Our visit started out with the courteous valet service and a surprise complimentary room upgrade! After a short walk to dinner it was reassuring to return to very well equipped security personnel posted outside. The Brimstone Bar adjacent to the lobby makes an exceptional four roses old fashioned. Complete with an outdoor patio to enjoy a night cap and cigar. After a late ladies night out we felt very pampered by having our breakfast delivery brought up to our room, along with a few extra minutes to check out in the morning. The Padre is the choice hotel of Bakersfield. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us! Suggestions: better creamer in the rooms and ash trays outside.
That’s so nice and clean it out of her bed in my life I feel like I lived in the castle! And I will Recommend this hotel to everyone I know! And I definitely will be back again hopefully sooner than later
Our customer recommended this hotel as it was close, convenient and their experience was excellent. I couldnt agree more. We will be back - for business and pleasure! ONLY issue was that I had read the hotel was haunted, particularly on the 7th floor (where we stayed). Unfortunately or perhaps, thankfully, I had a great rest, uninterupted.
Padre Hotel has been quite the find. We love the rooms, the staff is friendly and helpful, We enjoyed the food from the restaurant and the location is great but the best thing about Padre is the beds! OMG! Amazing.
We chose this hotel because of the reviews and wanted to support a business like this. Renovation of an old building etc. It wasn’t worth our one night stay. They tried but didn’t succeed. This is July 2022. Pay attention to the dates of the reviews posted. We certainly recognize the world is in a state of staff shortages. Sunday arrival. Valets were nice. Front desk OK. Asked about a pool. Told because of heat wave it is closed. Later told there isn’t even a pool. Room couldn’t cool down. These are 95+ days. . Took over 4 hrs. to cool down. Rusty bedside lamp, wonky bed and mattress topper. Stained mattress. Only 2 ice machines in building only one working. Lots of little things were a bother. Seems to need better hands on management.
Amazing staff! Valet was wonderful and easy! Front desk workers from saturday night and sunday morning were helpful and kind! (7/30-7/31) Room was clean and beautiful ! 10/10 stay and 10/10 service from all staff
We loved this place. Awesome original hotel with awesome staff and beautiful venue & 7 stars service. Close to Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco and you must stop there for the night. Sweetest staff and coolest bartenders.
I had to travel to Bakersfield for business and chose the Padre for its location and because of the amenities including on-site restaurants and room service. I had a wonderful stay. From the valets, to the front desk and restaurant servers, the staff is very friendly and helpful. I was having difficulty logging on to Wi-Fi and they sent someone up right away. The food is exceptional and the rooms are nicely appointed and very comfortable. I highly recommend staying here if business or travel takes you to or through Bakersfield.
Good location, I recommend ! Nice room, bed amazing, super clean and nice staff.I recommend to try the restaurant, the food is really good. And for the morning, the breakfast at the pharmacie is also nice.Meilleur hôtel de tout notre roadtrip en Californie ;)
Not even a tub or microwave...even with an upgrade. Hotel is also in a very homeless ridden area, when I was checking in, there was a homeless man just outside the hotel checking for open car doors to get into. When I checked out, another one was right there by the door, asked me for the water bottle in my hand, took a swig of it and then threw it in the street. I would not stay here again. Not for the price.
