From my personal experience I can tell you that
Service was not the best. Had to look for our waiter a couple of times. The waiter and bartender both had attitudes. But we still tried to enjoy our little 6 year old birthday boy.
Unfortunately this was the second mediocre service dinner.Many seasoned servers have changed jobs since the pandemic and understand food service as I am in that industry as well.Food was tasty, drinks took a great deal of time to get. Our server was nice. And he was shocked as I was when I found some plastic in my food. I gave him the item and he went back to inform the team. He said my meal would be comped per manager., I said that was very nice of them. We continued with our meal (group of 5). When paying our ticket, after my husband paid it I saw that my meal was NOT comped or discounted. So here is the picture of the plastic stuff that was in broccoli. Like a multi layer plastic thing from plastic bags almost.In the future, I will not leave until I speak to them about the ticket.*this broccoli was literally sitting under the top brocc...broccoli.... almost like it was strategically placed. I mean, come on guys... you are better than that quality.
I left my extra batch of rolls i bought on the counter after grabbing my order and i walked out the door and im very thankful the young lady Larissa brought them out to me now that is customer service that you just dont find anymore. Thank you Larissa and crew members for the great experience and amazing food. I 10 out 10 recommend this place.
Went on Saturday to celebrate Mother’s Day early and I was disappointed. The rice and my steak were extremely salty. This used to be my favorite steak house. After this experience I think I’m better off going to hungry hunter they never disappoint and there service is a lot better.
Ordered the Easter dinner and had nothing but problems getting it completed. Ordered online, no option of what dessert we wanted. Called restaurant, they couldn’t find the order and no one was willing to help. But there was no issues with taking the payment at the time of reserving it. After dealing with several employees, finally found someone willing to help the day before Easter and pick up. Arrived to the restaurant only for the 2 girls to say they couldn’t find my order in the system. Carlos, the manager came out and was beyond helpful. Even offered to heat all the food up for us (even though they were extremely busy) so we can have a hot meal instead of heating it ourselves as it says nothing about that online when ordering. Carlos, himself deserves 10 stars. He went way above and beyond. I’m leaving 3 stars because of the overall experience and the fact that we had to throw our entire meal away. The food tasted very old, steak was very tough, mashed potatoes had very large potatoes in it that were hard and not mashed, rolls tasted stale and the list goes on. We decided to save the stress and just discard the dinner. Carlos, is the only reason we will dine in to taste the food fresh and give it all another chance.
Unfortunate we didn’t have a good experience. Nothing special about the steak (not tender neither). The witter forgot to bring the bread, and never came back to check on us. We had to ask at the entrance desk where we needed to pay because we were left alone for a long time. It was our first time visiting this restaurant. We were very disappointed.El bistec no estaba ni de buen sabor, ni suave. El mesero no nos dio buena atención. Tuvimos que preguntar dónde pagar porque como era la primera vez que visitábamos pues no sabíamos a donde pagar. Regresamos tristes a casa….
Tahoe Joe's is a staple in Bakersfield. The food is good, the atmosphere is relaxed, and it is always clean.They are also generous enough to support local organizations by helping out with fundraisers by way of selling meal tickets - which is the primary reason for this 5 star review.We enjoy just about everything about Tahoe Joe's - except the steak ?. Everything else seems to come out juicy and flavorful, but the steaks ("medium rare" in picture) have always been dry.Other than that, service and food are always top notch. Love eating here.
Wasn't really that great of food. I ordered the whiskey peppercorn steak it was warm and meat was tender but the asparagus tasted like something was off and potatoes were more instant potatoes had to send the kids orange back twice because they were rotten smelled so fermented and just ended up not getting the item replaced. Empty drinks sat on table
Great service. My wife loves the Calamari. We usually order from the Happy Hour menu for lunch but, the regular menu is pretty awesome too.I usually get the fish tacos for lunch.The service is always great. It's in rotation for one our favorite places to go.
