Menu is too busy with items. I ordered 4 tacos ? at 2.45 a piece. The birria one was decent, the lengua was cold and tasteless, the pastor was not good and was dry. They just threw a bit of cilantro and a ton of onion. The salsa roja tasted old and was clumped up. I informed the staff of the cold lengua, they replaced the tacos with carne asada…so disappointing, meat was cold and tasteless as well.
Took all my friends here lately. The food is always good and fresh with consistency and great flavor every single time
A huge THANK YOU to our friends at So-Cal Tamal! I am already a fan of their food personally, but I am even more impressed with their dedication to serve their surrounding community. I am a teacher at a nearby school from the Pacheco location. The owner was patient, flexible and ready to help us fundraise for our students. Food was delivered fresh, labeled properly to ensure the appropriate order went to the appropriate customer. On top of the absolute great service the food was DELICIOUS! Thank you for allowing the students an opportunity to fundraise by your sponsorship!!!
First time trying it out and I was impressed. Pretty good Street food from the streets of L.A.
My first time trying this place it was for the most part ok. We ordered birria tacos which were over cooked, the meat was extra dry and the consomé was very bland, no taste whatsoever, We were really disappointed. We also ordered enpanadas (chicken and beef) and let me say they were the star of the show, very delicious. They are topped off with cabbage tomato and cheese, I would definitely recommend.
Ordered carne asada burrito and al pastor burrito, both were mostly rice and beans. Highly disappointed. At least the rice and beans were sort of decent. That's why two stars. Wouldn't recommend.
My mom invited me to eat here and it had a great variety of Mexican food options with a twist. From the tamales, to the tacos, to even the drinks. This is a must return a few times spot just to try it all. Check it out and let me know if you thought the same.
The tacos gobernador (shrimp) is one of the best tacos I've had in Bakersfield, highly recommend trying that from the menu and service is very fast from the drive thru.
I do recommend because most of everything I’ve tried is really good but today I tried their asada fries and they would be prefect if they added seasoning to the fries. I didn’t like them. Maybe I’ll ask for seasoning next time and try them again.
The food was really good. The location was convenient for us. They were friendly. This was our second time getting something here. Definitely coming back.
