We have been going to rustys for over 10 years and love their pizza and chicken. The last couple of times we've gone specifically their Ming and Ash location there service has gotten worse culminating with an awful experience this last time. I ordered ahead for.pick they told an hour showed up 1hr later and food was not ready no big deal Friday night I get they are busy. The service however was just horrible. I could hear some of the staff swearing and just being plain miserable. If it was an adult place only no big deal but people take their kids there.
I went in there and was told it would be 45 minutes to an hour. I was fine with that so I waited and hour and a half. I saw people that ordered after me were getting their food way before me. When I asked someone who works there I was told 10 minutes, I waited 20 minutes and asked again. They pointed at a pizza and asked if that’s mine. I said no it’s not, apparently they made the wrong pizza and looked at me like I’m supposed to accept the wrong pizza that was less expensive. That’s for wasting a couple hours of my life!
Came to this location with my family, and waited for 1 hour for wings that we ordered along with our food. We never got them then we were ignored 3 times. When I finally asked a 4th time they said oh our cashier didn't charge for them one hour later! Bad customer service they could have at least asked if I wanted to order some and I would not have minded paying for them. Very bad experience!
Poor customer service they denied the kids at Laurelglen Elementary School a pizza party after they had agreed to terms of offering the pizza party stating that the team had to "be in uniform" it was an end of year party...clearly the school team uniforms had been turned in already
2 hour wait for 1 pizza and wings.Called for pickup and still had to wait hour once at location.Looks like lack of management

The Rusty’s on Rosedale has become completely incompetent. The kicker is I was told “We don’t care if you don’t like it and waiting 1-1/2hr for a pizza that phone service said 45 min then go somewhere else because we don’t care and don’t need you business. The “General Manager” Ladida or whatever the heck her name is just said whatever don’t come back and I said I have been coming here for 30years and she said whatever good bye. The pizza was one of the worst looking pizzas I have ever seen. I actually asked for my money back after I paid and looked at. This is the 3rd time in the last 3 times I have ordered from them they did this.
I love the environment inside the restaurant. The salad bar looks tempting, prices are reasonable, staff is friendly, and the pizza is high quality. Rusty's Pizza Parlor donates to the local blood bank, providing donors with a coupon for a free pizza. I appreciate that.
We reserved the room for my daughters birthday birthday. We went to order one of the birthday specials and spent almost $200. when our orders of chicken and wings came out they were old like they had been from earlier or the night before and refried. When my husband took the food to one of the cooks and the girl in the front they didn’t want to give us a fresh batch. Even seeing that it was stale, hard and dark brown, there was no freshness. The pizza had big pocket bubbles and little cheese. I don’t know but spending that much i expected at least some fresh food but I understand sometimes things slip by but you make it right, you don’t brush it off , after all customers are spending their money. Next time I will visit the Wible location, tried this location out since it was closer to home. The few good things I can say is the room was clean, the salad bar was fresh and some of the girls there were very nice.
We ordered Rusty’s while passing they Bakersfield on our way to Washington and really enjoyed it! We ordered meatballs for one of our toppings and they were delicious, probably the best we’ve ever had on a pizza! They delivered to our hotel room which was appreciated after a long day of traveling. Friendly staff. If we’re ever in Bakersfield again we will definitely order from Rusty’s!!
