Apparently my first review didn't post and those that waited on me and prepared my delicious meal deserve a glowing review and gratitude. Visiting Bakersfield, I decided to enjoy a steak dinner with lobster. I rarely eat shellfish but this entire meal was past a 10 and off the charts with deliciousness! 👍😁😁 Major yummmmm!! I also enjoyed the brownie dessert that was topped with ice cream and scooped whipped cream. Oh my goodness gracious delectable. I also decided to order a slice of carrot cake to go and enjoy for the next 2 days. I was pleasantly surprised by the dessert being sent home with me as compliments from the management. The carrot cake slice was huge and sweet and delicious and I ate off of it for the 2 days of my visit. I know this is long but y'all must try the Stockdale location of Outback in Bakersfield, CA. As they say....G'day mates.

Had a very good experience after not having been here in a long, long time. Monday for dinner, definitely not crowded. No wait. Were taken to our table straightaway by the friendly host. Our server was so nice and friendly, also. Food was promptly brought out after our order and was very well prepared. Only complaint was that the blooming onion appetizer was a little too salty. Tasted a little like old oil, but the overall experience was good enough to let it slide. Portions were great. Hope to come back again soon.

First time eating here for my cousin's birthday. The food was amazing and the service was great our waiter was very pleasant and super friendly, even the manager stopped by to ask about the cheesecake we brought for my cousin's birthday. Downside was that it was a busy day and we were sat next to another large party and the tables were very close that my aunt was knocked in the head by the incoming parties' purse as she squeezed between the seats. Otherwise we had a very good experience.

I have had the great pleasure of dining here at this specific location for the past 3 year's.I reside in Los Angeles and work here in Bakersfield. Being so far away from home and needing a superb dinner after a 16 hr shift; the food here is always consistently delicious, the entire staff is professional, pleasant and courteous. Especially Nacho and his brother Nicholas who I now consider friend's. But it's Lorri who makes you feel like welcomed extended family and who is the heart and soul of this fine establishment.

Amazing food, the waiter provided the best service, the cook sent out a blooming onion and he didn't like the way it looked he let us snack on it and brought us out the new one asap, steaks cooked to perfection and ahi tuna was amazing.

The manager was horrible. I had a dinner reservation for 10 people at 7pm. I was told to check in at least 15 minutes prior. Checked in at 6:45. Once 7 hit, he looked at me rudely, said me and my children(4 of us) had to remain in the waiting area til half of my guest came. My husband came(now total of 5) and seen how we were being treated and asked why are we not allowed to sit at our reserved table and it’s now going on 7:30 and there 5, HALF of our dinner party here. My toddler was fussy , and all 3 of my children kept telling me they were hungry. We were celebrating 2 of their birthdays. Once my husband spoke, we were THEN escorted to our table. About 10 minutes later my sister arrived and said she did not like the vibe when she walked in. I asked from who the manager? he walked past our table and she pointed and said that man. I said yes that’s him. She said he looked at her all snobby, she wasn’t greeted. When we were leaving we asked the hostess for his name, I believe she was scared to give it to us but then she did. Alex. We told her we would be filing a complaint against him. We were the ONLY black people in the whole restaurant so it was clear he had a problem. Other than that our server was super friendly, food and drinks wonderful. We just didn’t feel welcomed and won’t be going back.

great food n service totally recommend

Sam was our server and she was amazing. The food was good. The steak was cooked to perfection. But the lobster a bit over cooked. The coconut shrimp was soooo good. The batter on the chicken strips was definitely not something we would reorder. The taters underseasoned and the Mac and cheese was definitely their own recipe. But other then that the food was good. Desert was good and our server was great. Will return
