I had never been that far over on the east side to eat and I was really happy with the Malt Shop. The onion rings are truly delicious and so are the zucchini fries. (Make sure you get each to dip them in; they have quality ranch.)I usually order a fish sandwich, which is extremely delicious and hits the spot when your in this comfort food mood for food. My boyfriend got the hamburger and all enjoyed it. I don’t usually like fries but I do really like the fries here. I would like even more seasoning on them because I’m a salt fiend but you have got to try dipping them in ranch and ketchup and eating them. I was happy and satisfied by my meal and ready for a nap.
Burger wasn't that great. French fries had an after taste. Onion rings were good and Pepsi was good. Counter girl was good.
Malt Shop use to be my favorite but they've gone downhill. Won't eat here again.

We came here for the first time. My wife ordered the cheeseburger and fries. I ordered the double texas burger combo which came with fries and soda. Plus we ordered a large chili cheese from all have big portions and everything tasted good. It has a 1950's atmosphere and we will definitely go again!
If you want an old school burger and fries, this is the place to go. Everything is made to order so there is a wait, but it's well worth it. You can dine in or take it to go. You can also call ahead and pick it up. The portions are huge and yummy!!!
