We went on Mother's Day (05-08-22) so we knew it was going to be packed. For a really busy day, we arrived at noon, got seated around 1:30 and left the restaurant at around 3:30ish. It did take them a while to serve us, but it was understandable because of the occasion. Definitely worth the visit tho ? The food was really good and their fresh waters were yummy as well!
Oh the food was amazing! Yesterday I went here with my mom and her friends, and I ordered the beef soup with corn tortillas. That, was, amazing. I couldn't finish it all though, so I had to take it home! The chips and salsa were very delicious as well, I just couldn't help myself to them! My mom tried the shrimp cocktail, and it was LOADED with shrimps! Definitely a item worth trying. And the fried tilapia is another that is very delicious. Fried to perfection! Overall, excellent service, good food, friendly and helpful staff, and very good atmosphere! Definitely going here again!
Food was okay. It definitely isn't as good as it used to be. The service was absolutely awful. They served everyone at our table at different times. It was about 20 minutes from the first person's plate arriving at the table and the last person's plate arriving. By the time the 6th person got his plate the first one was done eating. Had to wait 10+ minutes for our tortillas for our fajitas. By the time our tortillas were there our fajitas were getting cold.
Place continues to serve great food. The older gentleman (manager I presume) I saw had a couple issues with a certain race of people the day I went. I mention this only because we all know how aggressive they like to get it their way. He difused those issues, lord knows how but seemed like everyone had a great time overall. He was great and food was great. Go Rams sir, you got it right! ?
Food was terrible and service not good. After waiting 45 minutes to get our order my wife had to wait an extra 15 minutes to receive her enchiladas suizas. They were nasty. I ordered the Carne misteca, the meat was dry and flavorless. Will not be returning
Today was a different experience. You could see the impact of covid the wait staff was small the wait time to get food and drinks was a little bit longer than normal and it was all new faces. There were still girls in training and it's expected with this pandemic the turnaround rate for staff that is off and able to work will hurt our restaurants. Overall the food was excellent
As much as I enjoy the food, which is great by the way, I will probably not go back because of the service. The food runners do more work than the servers. Went in with my son, sister and mom and they completely forgot my order. No sugar for our iced tea, and had to go ask for utensils. They tried to make it right by giving me my food for free, great! but gave me my food to go, everyone was still eating. Our server came back and blamed it on the food runner. The next time I went with my gf, server came by to check on us a few times within the first bites, never to return. We asked for boxes and our check when she walked past and she never came back. Waited about 10 more minutes, didn't take any food and had to go up and pay. I will order to go from now on.
My favorite place! Everyone is amazing especially Edith and Minnie Edith makes the most delicious drinks and is awesome. Minnie is so welcoming and attentive. This is definitely the best place to eat and enjoy family time in Bakersfield. Thank you all for being so amazing! Definitely recommend 100%??
