Although the staff was friendly, I was not impressed with the beers. The fries were hot and crispy. The beer selection is OK but nothing was memorable.

Relaxed local craft beer and pub fare. Lengthwise is one of a small handful of establishments owned by the bakersfield based Lengthwise Brewing Company, and thus a true local business. This location is a restaurant/pub with a moderate selection of food and plenty of beer. The food is mostly pub fare such as burgers, salads, and fries with sauces and cheese on top. Having eaten here a few times I'd note the portioning of different orders seems to vary a little more than most restaurants but overall the proces are reasonable and nothing I have ordered has been disappointing. The food is good, if not amazing, and exactly what you would want while drinking here. Local beers are the real draw with a combination of staples and rotating seasonal options. Be warned: Hops in in currently so expect a lot of IPA and hop forward options. That said malty or wheat beers are also available.The atmosphere is relaxed with a somewhat kitsch and rustic interior. Seating is plentiful, both indoors and out, and the soundscape every time I have visited is the low roar of conversation drawing out a faint radio. This is a laid back local place for after work beers with friends and although the craft beer costs a bit more it's well worth the experiance if that is what you are seeking.

Especially since they don't even have to wait service. And just like everywhere in Bakersfield customer service it leaves you to be desired.

What a great brewery ! They have a minimum of 15 beers on tap. Good food, friendly staff.
