We ordered the Sonora Fajitas. The flavor was wonderful, but I was very disappointed that there were only 3 tiny strips of steak and the rest was just grilled veggies. The dishes aren’t cheap either so I was expecting a little more meat.
Atmosphere was great! Food was pretty good, but we only had appetizers. The drinks were strong???Didn't like that you can't seat yourself in the bar area any more, but it seems like everything is changing. ??♀️
Had a delicious dinner. Michelada was the star. Great flavors. I had a two item combo, chicken crispy taco, cheese enchilada, rice and beans. My mom had the fried mojarra with all rice. The fish was extra crispy and my mom said she would order it again. Dinner was a success. Great spot to eat delicious Mexican food. There may be a wait, but the hostess do a good job of moving it along. The wait will be worth it!
OMG the best service that's great food. I absolutely fell in love with their fajita salad. It is so big but so yummy.. I had to take the rest to go I ended up having three meals out of one dish. This is one of my favorite places
It was pretty pack and noisy when we ate. I was craving for nachos. So ordered one and it was a big portion. It taste good and we also ordered some fish and it was delish. Love the interior decor. Good service and we will be back again.
The food is pretty good. The service was decent, the prices are very high though. It was a very expensive dinner. Definitely higher cost than most other Mexican restaurants in town.
We always loved going to La Costa on Chester but wanted to try Calloway, especially after hearing some feedback that it was "good, but not as good as Chester;" well, I'm here to assure you that those claims are indeed UNTRUE! We had a wonderful experience with the best La Costa customer service we have ever experienced from our server, Brenda. The food was superb and delicious as always, perfect timing with serving the appetizers and the entrees and they were very accommodating for getting our large party seated in a timely fashion. Great work La Costa! We will definitely be back and get the good word out! May God continue to bless you and prosper you!
Great food fantastic atmosphere, and the service is awesome!Waitress Brenda was exceptional! Wife wasn't sure which Margherita to pick and she surprised her with a special one with muddled raspberries!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the food. Seriously can’t say enough good things about the food. The alcoholic beverages lack consistency amongst this location (and bartenders) and the ice house location. Also, lots of dirty glasses staring at those sitting at tables near their server station, there was one young man who was actually cleaning the glasses and also the tables in the bar area. Seemed to be the only one doing so… Kudos to him. One young lady seemed to want to vent to a table about tips and seemed to know the individuals at the table but seemed to lack self awareness and how loud she was to those customers around her…she spent a lot of time doing so until another server got her attention…tacky. Otherwise, had a great experience. Get a Paloma, you won’t disappointed! Also, their envueltos (bacon wrapped shrimp) is to die for!!
My mother has always loved the food here... me not so much. I was craving Mexican food so we went. I'm always agreeable to give places the benefit of the doubt, but YIKES! There was NO flavor only heat! Even salt couldn't help the enchiladas and tacos. It's sad because I know so many people who love this place. I hope it is just the newer location and not the old Ice House building.
