These people were so kind and so lovely and I want them to know that we really appreciate the experience of being there in such an authentically Thai setting. The portions were also very generous and a great value. Our only issue was the very sweet level of the food. We did not understand that they had tuned up the sweetness of all the dishes (green veggie curry, pad Thai) past what we feel is normal and that was not so awesome FOR US. I don't know if this is just this one family's taste palette or it is a way they have changed their Thai food to appeal to Americans who love so much sugar. The other thing is the pad Thai had no smokey flavor which to us is a prerequisite of quality and the Chinese broccoli with crispy pork was extremely salty.
Great food and lovely employees!. Was staying in Bakersfield for one night on route to Yosemite from Las Vegas on vacation from the UK. Went to this restaurant with a friend. Food was great and the employees were so friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend the food, wonderful taste, portion sizes good and cost very reasonable.
We like to have Thai food and look for places to have dinner near our hotel. This restaurant was a short few blocks away in downtown Bakersfield. After finding a parking spot (busy on a Wednesday evening) we walked to the restaurant. The menu is extensive but we managed to find our favourites and were not disappointed. The food was fine, a little spicy on the Pad Thai, but great on the Tom Yum Gong Soup. Big portions. Not a fancy restaurant, probably busier for lunch than dinner, but good service by people that care.
Some of the BEST Thai food I have ever had. They were also very accommodating to exchange requests. The food was delivered hot and fast. I can't wait to eat from here again!
Best thai curry ever!!*update* still the best Thai curry ever! I love the red curry (medium spicy, so I can still add some chili flakes) with beef and brown rice (best freaking rice I've ever had). My husband loves the same, except he gets chicken. Tonight we also tried some pork BBQ skewers. The tamarind sauce was soo delicious that we had to ask for some to-go. I think it will be awesome with some steak or tri-tip. ?The staff is also quite sweet.
The food was amazing! Me and my husband tried it out for the first time and were very impressed, we will definitely be going back again and I highly suggest it for lunch or dinner ?
Very delicious! I love the lunch special! You have to try the yellow curry, spicy basil, or Kung pao omg sooo good. GREAT SERVICE AND STAFF!
Very friendly staff. The soup was hat and wonderful. I had yellow curry fried rice. It was just the right amount of heat.
The food was good and the service was quick as well. We had ordered basil fried rice and pineapple fried. The both dishes were amazing. The pineapple fried rice had a little bit of raw egg smell but the taste was fine. The Thai tea was great. The servers were super nice and accommodating. I was there on Christmas day and I was able to find the street parking. Just in case you are not able to find parking, there is parking lot behind the restaurant.
Too bad I live in Tulare, otherwise I would be here everyday! The fried rice is amazing!!! The yellow curry, for me, was TOO sweet but it was good. I like my curries more spicy and I asked for spicy and it was sooo sweet, nonetheless, I will be back!
