We love it every time! Beth and Jason always provide excellent food, service and ambiance! Great anniversary or birthday dinner. Only one sitting per evening so your not hurried! You need a reservation… We both had different fillets and they did not disappoint!

My wife was so excited to see where I was taking her!! Amazing food and cocktails! Our server, Juliet was amazing!! Will definitely be back!

The food was absolutely delicious!!! I had the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection! The service was great!!! I would definitely recommend it! It’s pricey but worth it!!!

Amazing restaurant, from start to finish!! Some of the best food I've ever had, definitely the best on Bakersfield. Stellar service.

Fantastic experience. Service and menu was exactly what we expected for this upscale intimate restaurant, got exactly what we paid for. Sorry we waited this long to visit but will definitely be back.

We seen great reviews for this restaurant on yelp and we were in Bakersfield for my sons wrestling tournament on Thursday nite. We found the place it was a litlle skechy from the outside the alley is dim and a lil creepy and dirty but hey its an alley..We figured oh well we seen really good reviews and proceeded to go in. There was a blond wiping a table she just stared at us a few times and ignored us while we stood in front of the bar my husband asked if they had a waiting list since there like 5 tables max and one in a seperate or private room the door was open we could see in..the lady replied we only take reservations and obviously you guys arent from here...she proceeded to say we wont have any available for "you" as she looks to the front door than back at us as to leave...the people at the tables stared and gave us dirty looks we are darker skinned and it was obvious racism and very uncomfortable we left super quick!! Bottom line if you are not white or blonde or have any pigmentation in your skin STAY AWAY!!

Quick SummaryGreat food, ambiance and service. The best steaks in Bakersfield! Try to get street parking around the area; the lot next to the restaurant is a paid lotFood- 5 starsEscargot- this was decent. I would order a different appetizer in the futureRibeye- this was divine. The steak was so tender, juicy, and fatty. Ordered the baked potato and Caesar salad along with it, and they were very delicious as well. My go-to steak orderFilet- this was very delicious as well. I'm usually a fan of fattier cuts (e.g. ribeyes) but this filet was very juicy and tenderRack of lamb- this was cooked perfectly as well. They even lollipop the lamb as well at request. Very goodVeal- this was cooked perfectly as well. I'm not usually a huge fan of veal but the flavor and tenderness was great hereDessert- we tried all 3 of their house desserts. The cheesecake was standard, but the other 2 desserts (Malva pudding and South African Cape Dutch) were very good and I highly recommend itThe bread was very good as well. They had melted butter which was greatDrinks- 5 starsWe tried the Manhatten and Apple-tini and they were very delicious. The drinks are strong here and I do like that they ask for your liquor brand of choice hereService- 5 starsThe service was solid throughout. Our server was friendly and attentive throughout and the owner/chef greeted us at the end of the meal as well. Terrific experience throughoutAmbiance- 5 starsIt's an interesting vintage steakhouse vibe in an alleyway (e.g it looked really ghetto from the outside, but transformed into a classy steakhouse when you entered). Really enjoyed the playlist in the background as wellBottom LineGreat food, drinks and service. The ribeye was the most memorable dish of the night. Try to get here early or late to snag free street parking!

Old school steakhouse. Great service and friendly staff. Food was good and the wine prices were reasonable.

This restaurant is the best in Bakersfield and one of the best I've eaten at. We celebrated the holidays with my wife's parents, her sister and husband. I had the rack of lamb and the others had various steaks; New York and Fillets. Everything was outstanding. The cocktails were great (Old Fashion and wine). My father-in-law is 92 and on oxygen, the staff took their time in helping him to the table and securing his oxygen tank. This is an interesting restaurant in that the entrance in in an alley and basically unmaked, kind of like a "speak-easy". Just find the red door and your in! Again, thanks to the owner/Chef and all the staff for ensuring a great evening. I apologize for not remembering the names of all of those that took such great care of us. I live in LA, but we are already planning on making the trip for my next birthday.

Great food and people. Nostalgic atmosphere
