Hometown, Mom & Pop (actually Sisters!), lunch-counter experience with fresh foods made in-house from scratch, even the iced tea!The seats at the Lunch counter are real chairs that move, you can get comfortable here.I heartily recommend this incredibly friendly eating establishment!
I went there for the first and last time today. The darker Mexican woman, I believe was the owner, is the rudest woman ever. She scolded us for calling in our order and deciding last minute to dine in. Then she tried to tell me I had my straw upside down, which I didn't. She was especially awful to the other waitress. I would've walked out on her as an employee. The hamburger was delicious, the potatoes over seasoned. I will not be going back.
I had an Ortega Cheeseburger, it was just as messy, and just as delicious as I remember. It's been a few years, but not much had changed. I love the 50's atmosphere, music and cuisine. I had to pass this time, but if you have a chance, their homemade pies are the best in town. Prices have increased a bit, but definitely worth ever penny.
Food and service was great! A few FYI. - the hamburgers are juicy and cooked to medium rare. They are open M-F 7:00 am - 2:30 pm. Cash only, no bills larger than a $20.
Best place to have a great meal and pie. Also to have great conversation with friends over a delicious coconut cream pie.
OverPriced ..and they don’t have Fries only “Papas” Which if you want papas they will make you pay 4.25 it’s not included with burger … The pie is extremely overpriced 25 bucks for a medium sized pie ..
This place is a classic, with great food. Remember to bring cash and save room for pie (Rudy is the best)The only thing that keeps this from being a 5-star rating is the fact that they don't have fries... They do make a potato but they are not fries...
Cute little diner bar. Very welcoming. Fast service, good food. It was my first time going and I've lived here all my 44 years.
Oh how I miss your burgers and banana cream pie ?! We moved out of state and I can't find a banana cream pie that even comes close. Hands down the best I've ever had. I wish you would teach me how to make it. We miss you!
