OMG the reviews did not disappoint! Ever since moving here I had not found such great chinese food. I love the authentic vibe of the restaurant and the super friendly service. I was also pleased to see that they had alcoholic drinks available (they don’t have it on the menu). A hot sake and ice cold beer goes well with the meals for those who enjoy it. I find that for the quality of the food the prices are very decent and worth it. I will absolutely be going back.
The shrimp and broccoli was perfectly cooked and the sauce was extraordinary great. A week later, I can still remember it and want more!
Excellent food, outstanding service. I only wish they had combination plates more to my liking. Maybe I need to examine the menu more carefully.
Arguably the best Chinese restaurant in Bakersfield. Definitely my favorite. Everything has always been fresh and flavorful. Some of the family favorites include; cumin chicken, sizzling rice soup, orange chicken and the mu-shi. Not in the greatest part of town, but the food is delicious.

Mom and dad been coming here since it open in 1979 and I was born February 1987. So I been eat this before I was born literally ??♂️?Im still eating today after 35 yrs later. Great food! Great memories!!
Great Castle never disappoints but I haven't been here since my somewhat new gluten allergy. I called in advance, they told us there were plenty of gluten-free options, and they weren't kidding!! They really went out of their way to make sure that I got exactly what I felt like eating and that it wouldn't hurt me. Excellent service, too.
Had an amazing dinner! Ordered sizzling rice soup which is delicious. A must order. Dinner continued with chicken and shrimp fried rice, broccoli beef and chicken with cashews. All fresh, perfect temperature and tasty. We had left overs to enjoy tomorrow. Ordered the jasmine tea; It was a good after dinner drink too. The staff friendly as always. Their customer service is on point. Great place to go for a date night or with the family as I did tonight! 10 out of 10 experience!
Its really good food although they can improve there attitudes in not be so fast to ignore you in be rude to answer you in walk away quickly also be sure to not use utensils that get dropped on the floor & wash hands after having to touch floor to pick up & continue to serve with dirty hands especially because covid there should be sanitizer stations
Our family has been eating there for more than 30 years. Very good food and service. One item could be improved; the hot tea is on the weak side for my taste. If you want more tea (multiple diners) you have to ask for it. Over all a very good place.
