My first time here at this place I ordered the grandma's special the tamal the taco ? and the sope was great and the beans the only thing I didn't like was the rice It wasn't well cooked It was a little chokey ill let them know next time
This was an amazing experience at Grandmas Tamales restaurant, the food was outstandingly tasteful amazing authentic Mexican food with so much flavor in every dish we ordered in our family group outing. The augas frescas delicious and the amazing Corn and Flour tortillas that are being made and served to your table hot are delicious, if you like Menudo this is the cleanest un grease delicious Menudo I have ever eaten! Wonderful atmosphere for the whole family to enjoy.
I didn't find none food I got on mother's day good but I won't stop going until I find out whats good there. Unfortunately I got Grandma Plate SpecialI don't recommend the Tamales unless you like watery Tamales. None of my food had flavor.
Wonderful tamales, they have lots of other Mexican food. Make sure you let them know if you want them to leave stuff like onions and peppers out. The menu does not specify.
Hands down the food was delicious. Definately coming here again. it was kind of crowded when i went but probably for a good reason. Same with parking(mid sized parking lot), it was kinda tight, but again, they have good food.
Food was wack! Tamale had little meat, under cooked and sauce looked more like blood rather than sauce. I tried a taco de lengua, cabeza and asada with hand made tortillas. None of the meat has flavor what’s so ever. The guacamole must have been vallerte clearance rack, watered down with tomatillo. Staff was super nice
Had 2 menus one with $2-3.00 cheaper ordered and had to paid higher price cheaper menu was an error on staff part.Food was very good staff and prices where not so much Pricey no customer service the 10 min i waited on any customers.
This was some of the worst food I've had. Everything was lacking in flavor. Even the chips and salsa were bland. Bakersfield has a lot of good Mexican food restaurants, this place was not one.
Me and my family usually come here but today was the worst we order 3 order of menudo, Camarones Al mojo de Ajo , eggs with machaca, Tacos with hand made tortillas one menudo I ordered without hominy and they still put it in 2 of my plates they had hair the Huevos con machaca had egg shells my wife didn't want to complain but I think the 2 hairs I couldn't just leave it like that because I was about to throw up it was disgusting I had never put on a bad review but today I couldn't leave it like that I had to let people know what they might be eating and not noticed because we noticed because we where eating outside.
This place has some of the best Mexican food in Kern county period . They really friendly , establishment is always clean and just watchout for weekend rush .... Lots of ppl go here . Btw they close at 8 PM not 6 PM like Google has it .
