Meh. Like the inside is kind of sad, like it's set up reminds me of a run down mom and pop restaurant. The staff was friendly so that was nice. The rice was pretty to look at and it's flavor was edible but nothing to write home about. The meat...the meat smelled off and the taste lacked flavor or maybe Im not accustomed to Mediterranean spices? Idk. The chicken was nice to look at but after two bites it was meh. The cucumber was bomb best part of the dish. It's just my opinion, but I'm not heading back for a second time. If this type of flavor floats your boat more power to you.
Poor Service, food quality is ok. If you consider Taco Bell to be great Mexican food, then Flame and Skewers is great Mediterranean food. Price is high and don't dare to get protein bowl. it is filled with rice and lettuce with 4 pieces of meat.

They're always has to be a wonderful Mediterranean restaurant wherever you live. I'm thrilled to announce that we have found our favorite Mediterranean restaurant here in bakersfield. Flame and skewers Mediterranean food met our expectations (which are typically high) for takeout. Their portion for the price is great. The flavoring of the food as well as the freshness seemed to be on par. Overall they were rather quick to get our food to go.
I DoorDash this location. They deleted my wife’s plate and replaced my beef shawarma sandwich with a falafel sandwich. Total fail. What a joke. Will not order again.
This place has changed. Not sure if it is under new ownership, but my last experience was not the Flame & Skewer's I remember going to in the past. The falafel and soda selection were okay.
The food was fair, however, this location looked very dirty. There was food and trash on the floor that looked like it hadn't been mopped in weeks. Hopefully they keep the cooking stations clean.
A good place if you wanted to try kabob and shawerma sandwiches in bakersfield. Consideringthat not too many restaurantsof this food cusine. The food is mediocre. Sometimes it gets too salty for my taste. The kebob sandwiches take around 15 minutes to be prepared. Their prices went up drastically in the last couple of years but their service is good.
Excellent Mediterranean food. A consistent favorite.
