I like being able to order with them from beyondmenu and their food is good and the delivery driver was nice.
I was greeted by the sweetest lady, who took my order. She and this place move at a slower, calmer pace.The food was excellent. I will come back again and again!
Have been coming here for 20 years. Best Chinese restaurant hands down! No other place can beat the taste of their food.EVERYTHING is a MUST HAVE TO TRY, especially the Kung pao chicken and beef broccoli ?

After ordering to-go from here four times and tipping them 10$ extra with every meal, China garden continually cheats me on my portion of food. Today's 'quart' was half empty, i have NEVER paid so much for so little Chinese food. The women at the front desk almost disregards every time I walk in, I don't know why.I will not be coming back. China garden consistently cheats me, despite my generosity toward them. Shame on them.______________________________________________________________________The food here is actually pretty good, as far as Chinese food in Bakersfield goes. I got myself a large hot and sour, quart of Lo Mein, and a Kung Pao chicken. The soup was what you would expect, Lo-Mein was good, and the Kung Pao was good and had a nice mixture of veggies.Three major disappointing factors though:1) My meals (in the quart) are never filled to the top. This a tendency for China Garden and it may make you feel like you were cheated2) Though I got 2 meals, I still only got 1 rice.3) My second order of Kung Pao didn't include any vegetables at all, and it seemed like they just ran out of ingredients.I only got orders to go, and I didn't see much of the restaurant. As far as the interior goes, it seems like a normal Chinese restaurant. I've never seen it packed, which makes it ideal for peaceful meals.

So, I read multiple reviews on this restaurant. I decided to give it a try and see what is what all about. Well let’s just say, my first time experience was HORRIBLE and I will definitely not return. $19.95 for a lunch combo with 4 eggs rolls. . . .The rice was so stale and the egg was very chewy. Wontons were burnt. Orange chicken, the texture was disgusting. I immediately could tell that it was not just cooked like the lady claimed. And had maybe been leftover from the night before. Only thing decent was the eggs rolls, which is why I left one star. . . .I do not recommend this place at all.

Recently moved here from Burbank ca where Chinese food places are scarce & the food is not really note worthy. Saw this place, read the reviews & based on what I read,placed an order.Not sure what Chinese food some of the dear people of Bakersfield have eaten but, I would just like to tell them this food is really below standard. It was greasy & just barely eatable & I won't be back.
It may not be the best experience. But for my family its a bakersfield landmark. We have been eating there for 30 years. They don't get as much business as they used to, but their food is still excellent. Please go in and try it for yourself.
