A true vegan gem in Bakersfield. Love the food, portions and service at this restaurant. The menu has many selections which, from what I've tried so far, have all been very yummy. I highly recommend their fresh spring rolls with the savory peanut sauce they serve it with (top notch). Hope they stay open for a while as I will remain a returning customer for their delicious food and kind service.

I was thrilled to find this restaurant as I was passing through on a road trip. I highly recommend it. I ordered:1. Tofu Satay. Loved it and would definitely order again.2. Mongolian Beef. Very yummy. I am not a big fan of mock meats (try to stick to whole foods) but ordered it because it was recommended on Yelp. I really liked the seasoning.3. Napa cabbage stuffed with enoki mushrooms. I liked it and would order again but the sauce may not be for everyone. It has a unique flavor and quite a bit of garlic.Next time I come to/through Bakersfield, I'll definitely be back!
Enjoyed a quiet dinner here with Tom Yum soup and fresh rolls. They make their meals from scratch with fresh ingredients and herbs. Fast and friendly service. One of my favorite places in Bakersfield.
Love this restaurant and the variety of Asian dishes they offer! They were all delicious! I especially enjoyed the Thai noodle dishes. So good!
Food was delicious! Taro milkshake, ramen, and sushi were all fresh and very filling.
I remember when this place was a Sizzler 30 years ago! And then Ichiban sushi (owned by my uncle), and then Shangri-la (where the current decor is from), and now Asian Vegan Bistro. I've been here twice now, and the food has been great so far! The first time, I went for my birthday with a bunch of friends. Most of the food we tried was really good! The only exception was the tonkatsu ramen, which tasted a little funny. I had the spicy beef noodle soup, which was under the "Chinese menu" so I thought it was going to be more like Taiwanese beef noodle soup, but it ended up more like bun bo hue (which is Vietnamese), with rice noodles. It was still good, just not what I was expecting. The walnut shrimp was also decent but could have used more sauce (my standard for walnut shrimp was the version at Panda Palace back in the day). Happy there is a third fully-vegan restaurant in Bakersfield now (after Better Bowls and Vida Vegan)!
DELICIOUS!! We drove all the way from TX to find this vegan gem in Bakersfield. EXTENSIVE menu and everything is made hot and fresh. We are stuffed full with happy bellies! Got the orange chicken, mushroom chili basil with shrimp and egg rolls… SO GOOD! Vegan done right! Y’all must try! This’ll be our vegan stop every time we pass thru Bakersfield now!
This is a first time I have eaten here. The food was good the service was unhurried which made me feel at ease doing through the menu. The menu is a bit much. They have Thai, Chinese and Japanese vegan styled Asian meals. If there was a critique I think that the menu has too many items which makes selection harder but everything seems like it would be delicious. What I had with my family was very good. Very important to me is service! The service was friendly and I would return. We accidentally left our doggy bag and our host ran out to our car to give it to us. That's good service. The ambiance in the restaurant could use some updating but it's not bad. It will not stop me from going there again.
This place has AMAZING vegan food! Their “beef” is really well seasoned, I would recommend the beef chow mien and the Mongolian beef. The decor could be updated but don’t let that frighten you, it’s worth a try.
