I don't know if it is because of Will... but I think everytime he was the there the quality of food was top notch. The first 3 times were amazing but then the graph started going inversely proportional. The more I visited at each interval the more the quality of chicken went downhill. As someone mentioned, it seems like it was cooked and put under lamp for a while and they just heat it up upon order. Portions with fries is ok. It will cost you around 16 with drinks.The first few times it was truly Nando's like Probably will stop going.
This is going to sound a little strange, but here goes. Have you been to Bengal Barbeque at Disneyland? Well the HOT Peri Peri sauce at Tribos reminds me of the Banyan sauce on the Banyan Beef Skewer...only without the teriyaki vibe. IT'S DELICIOUS! This sauce alone is reason enough for a return visit to Tribos.Chicken is the protein that makes up the majority of the menu here, but the lamb was my favorite. It wasn't gamey like lamb has a tendency to be. I recommend the lamb wrap and a side of the creamy cotija corn...with lots of the HOT Peri Peri sauce! ??Side note...Chef Will was super friendly and very helpful with making choices since this was my first visit.
Tribos Peri Peri Chicken is located where the old burger joint was and takes up a nice corner space. The parking in this plaza can get busy but usually there's some room a little further from the restaurants.Coming in, Chef Will greeted me and was super, super friendly. He broke down the menu and helped explain the concept and the vision which was awesome. I ended up getting the rice bowl with chicken and a medium sauce. The medium sauce was solid - a little spicy kick and could definitely kick it up to the next level next time! It came with a healthy amount of good rice; three chicken pieces; and a salad as well as a side of the cotija corn which was nice and creamy / cheesy. I think going for more of a protein heavy meal, I'll go with the 1/2 chicken next time with extra sauce!The space inside was pretty big with some bar seating and plentiful tables.
Ordered 1/2 chicken with French fries absolutely delicious, tender, flavorful, plenty of different sauce the ranch was me and my wife favorite. It was our first time there Manager was excellent and gave e us free fountin drinks. Very refreshing to be treated well.....definitely b back. Thanks peri peri...
Amazing food, amazing prices, amazing menu. The service is amazing as well as the food is really really good. As a guy who eats a lot of food and really picky it has the best quantity and quality. Totally recommend everybody to come check this place out.
The peri peri chicken is excellent! I found this to be almost exactly like the real deal found in South Africa. I also liked the rice and coleslaw. The salad however is the reason I took away a star. The ingredients were not fresh and this was quite disappointing as everything else was so amazing. The olives were canned olives, the cucumbers were old and the lettuce was limp. I hope that they can improve on their salads so I can return with all 5 stars soon.
I tried Peri Peri chicken overseas for the first time and searched for a Peri Peri location when I got back. I made a catering order for a group of 35 people. Chef Will made everything perfect and delicious. People loved the food, in particular the wings and the sauces !!! Would highly recommend this place to everyone.
We ordered a paneer wrap but we got a chicken wrap. Frustrating as I am a vegetarian and will never go back to this restaurant
The chicken was awesome! Perfectly booked and seasoned. I also loved Yuka fries, french fries and creamy koteha corn. Chef Will is very friendly and helpful and our family will definitely be back.
Just walked in like 10 mims ago. The lady upfront said they are closed. Its still 8.49. I drove 30 mins just to come eat here. Will never give my business again. Extremely rude. Save your money and energy. You close at 9 not 8.45.
