If you happen to be in the neighborhood of Artesia and in the mood for some vegetarian Indian food, this restaurant would not disappoint you. The food is very flavorful, and portion sizes are reasonable. The main dishes are great, but pair them with some sides (Indian street food snacks) and you will be in for a full treat.All that flavor and variety of food gets overshadowed by the behavior of the employees who don’t care for your business at all. They are rude, and unwilling to give you any information about food.
Extremely small portion sizes for the prices. We were surprised to see when the food came out and had to recheck the prices to make sure what we ordered. $7.49 for 2 really small kachoris that barely filled half the plate!
I love coming to Jay Bharat when I crave Indian food. They have delicious Masala Dosa's and Idli Sambar. I also stock up on many of the frozen curries and other foods they have so I'm stocked up for at least a month. The Mango Lassi is graet, as are all of their sweets.
An iconic location serving North Indian vegetarian fare, especially Gujarati specials for many years. I remember eating at this place 20 years back and the quality of the food had not changed. The menu has all the standard fares you would expect in a North Indian restaurant plus some more. They have Chaat and Thalis and Snacks and Sweets. Their thali is one of the best in the area with a goo variety. The ethnic speciality of Undhiya and Patra are too good. A four star gem in Artesia.
This is a great Gujurati/North Indian style restaurant and sweet shop! I have visited multiple times to pick up some sweets for family members and on my most recent visit I tried the chaat papdi. It was prepared well and tested great, it hit the spot for something light! I will be back to try more food out here.
